Swim Torrance

In 2021, we will be highlighting a book on the first of each month that furthers our parent education to be supportive of our athletes. This month’s book is the shortest of the year at only 60 pages, but it’s one in a series that has a coaches edition (which our staff read in their 2019-2020 education list) and an athlete version as well. By no means are these required, and we won’t be meeting to go over them. We just thought they’d be great in our arsenal of knowledge.

We are so proud of our athletes, parents, coaches, and board members for everything they persevered through during 2020. We are also incredibly thankful for our facilities to have been open, as it allowed us privileges that others in SCS and some places across the country still have yet to be afforded. It was a monumental time in our team’s history, and we will continue to bond closer over the shared experience. While many make resolutions for 2021, instead we will be resolute. The definition couldn’t describe or manifest it any better: admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering. That’s us. That will be our 2021.

If you’re coming today, bring a trash bag and make sure it’s upside down to keep the water out.

GMAC is the George Mannon Aquatic Center, formally known as the Torrance Unified Aquatic Center (TUAC). George Mannon was the Superintendent of TUSD from 2005-2019 and helped the vision of the pool come to life in Torrance!
