Our board just closed out the school year with their final meeting this spring. A different semester with new challenges but our families and students always remain the focus. Our board would like to wish all of you a Glad Sommar and will continue to prepare to reopen our school come fall if possible! Last week we hosted our online graduation with most of our students celebrating from home! A special thank you to all our families for your patience during this time and especially to our amazing TEACHERS that quickly transitioned to Zoom classes when we had to change. We are so incredibly proud of our community and cannot wait to hopefully welcome you back this fall!!

Tomorrow we celebrate June 6th, Sweden’s National Day In Sweden our blue and golden flags will be waving against the summer sky, our royals will be addressing t...he Swedish people but in this COVID-19 year 2020, the Swedes will be watching on TV, safely in their homes instead of from the streets and public squares. Here in San Diego, our beloved House of Sweden is boarded up and empty. We’re at home, perhaps having some pickled herring alone and longing for our fellow countrymen. Let’s decide that, sooner or later, we will be together to celebrate and that today we will fill our hearts with gratitude for all the store clerks, nurses, janitors, doctors, drivers, cooks, teachers and many others who serve us in this difficult time. Dear Members, Swedish school of San Diego are suspending classes until further notice. We are doing this as a precaution with all of our families health in mind. Congratulations to Adam, Alexander, Maya, Stella and Noa who received medals for their achievements in the SUF-VM track and field competition! This competition has over 2,000 competitors from Swedish Schools around the world and these five took gold, silver and bronze medals!! Give them a thumbs up and congratulate them below!!
