Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church 15.11.2020

Starts today! Giving Opportunity: Did you know that since March the ministry of Still Waters has changed and evolved dramatically? We’re now currently serving around 400 people per week, providing strictly pantry goods, produce, meat and dairy, and other essentials in the safest ways we can. We’ve begun partnering with multiple organizations and even have a new refrigerator to help us with storage capacity. A big hearty thank you to those that have donated or served to mak...e this all possible! For the month of November, we’re inviting our Facebook community to help us to stock up some of the most basic essentials like toothbrushes and deodorant, wash cloths and toilet paper. In a time where we celebrate gratitude and all the many things we’re blessed with, we invite folks to give to those that need it most. Collect an item a day (or several at a time) in a box and donate the box at the end of the month to Still Waters. Donations can be dropped off on Wednesday, December 2nd from 10am-1pm. Thank you for your generosity! See more

Consider joining with our Lutheran siblings in Region 2 (that's us- California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and parts of Wyoming) in gathering in prayer around our national election. Whether you join in this online event or not, we encourage you to be in prayer as we approach the election and beyond. O God, you crafted the universe as a divine tapestry in which the well-being of the entire cosmos is forever intertwined. In this election season, give us... hearts and minds focused on nurturing all that you have made. Forgive us when we are unjust or accept unjust behavior in our leaders. Remind us of your call to not withdraw from the world, but to be in the world as your very own broken and beloved people. Ignite in us a passion for the welfare of those who are most vulnerable, and empower us to lead with a love that reflects your love revealed in Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
