Here's a great resource to help anyone struggling to understand how to navigate legal issues called the Self-Help Center. This program offers legal advice, references, and help with filling out forms. All the information is specific to the Santa Clara County, and they are available by phone and in person. We Christian lawyers should understand most the importance of legal help, as well as our Biblical mandate to provide legal help to the poor. God commands us to "Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed" (Psalm 82:3) and to "Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow" (Isaiah 1:17).
