Hello Ghost Riders. Obviously not much to post during our "New Norm." I really wish I had some good news as far as opening for dine in service but I don't. I hope and pray every day that I'll be able to sit down and share a sake or two with you. Soon my friends, soon. If you're ready for dine in service, stop by Sushi Deli 3 in Kearny Mesa. Sushi Deli 1 in Mission Hills will remain closed for Dine-in service for the near future. However, Sushi Deli 3 in Kearny Mesa has converted their rear parking area into... an awesome outdoor venue, complete with shade, lighting and water misters. So, most of you know, we've been open since June 1st. Things are going well. A little strange to have half the store empty but still soooo good to see you all again. We've added the Throwback Thursday special into the mix and got solid Monthly specials. One drawback is we've cut the taps from 12 to 6, keeping only our standard beer line up. Sorry but we just don't want to waste good beer. As with all stores and restaurants we have to follow guidelines in order to stay open.... So please be patient and respectful to the staff when you arrive, they are just following my direction. And if you don't think you can do that, then don't come. Due to such limited seating we have new check in procedures. 1. Please make a reservation Go to our website: www.sushideliusa.net, click on Sushi Deli 1 and follow the link to "make a reservation" 2. Walk-ins are accepted but only as space permits. 3. Reservations size is party of 6 maximum, If larger than 6 please contact the host at 619 296-1932. 4. COMPLETE party is required prior to seating 5. Entire party must complete a health screening including temperature. 6. Mask is required to enter the store, can be removed once seated. If getting up from the table for any reason, such as restroom or leaving, mask must be worn. If you forgot your mask we'll be happy to sell you one for $2. Sorry such a long post. Sushi Deli 1 is taking a little more time to prepare, get organized and trained for our staff and your safety. I’m seriously excited to reopen for dine-in. If you’ve been following the news, there are a lot of requirements. In the last 2 days several restaurants have been forced to shut down for not following required protocol, I don’t want that to happen here, where it’s all about YOU!!! In the next week I’ll be sharing our new reservation and standby system, easy to use for you non-tech people, and any other general issues that we might consider need to know.
