Message from Superintendent/Principal Audra Evans

Happy first day of school! The teachers and staff cannot wait to see everyone! Mrs. Evans created a display case in our hallway with pictures of what we have all done this summer. We know it might have looked a lot different this year, but we’d still love for you all to add to it. Please send your student with a picture to school or add a photo to this post of what your summer looked like and we will add it to our display case. Thank you! Remember to please be flexible and... patient with us all as we navigate through these not so ideal times. Stay tuned for a picture of our display case and let’s make today a great day!

SVJUSD Parents - There will be no Open House/Meet and Greet this year so Enrollment Packets will be sent home on the first day of school with students or, if you prefer, you can pick up your enrollment packet at the school prior to the first day of school. Kindergarten parents please bring in shot records, birth certificates, and health & oral records with your enrollment packet. Any questions, please call the school 530-279-6141

SVJUSD Parents we are having "Work Evening" to finish getting our playground ready for the new school year. We will meet on Saturday, August 15th at 6pm to work on finishing the edging and a sprinkler line, moving mats, and then filling with wood chips. We would appreciated volunteers. If you could help it would be great!

Attention SVE Kindergarten and 7th grade parents. Attached are the updated immunization flyers from Public Health. Please be aware that incoming Kindergarten and 7th students need to turn in updated immunization records to the school. Public Health recommends that parents try to make an appointment with their primary provider for vaccines first. If they are not able to get their children into their provider in a timely manner, they can call Public Health at (530) 233-6311 to schedule an appointment. They will be having two more immunization clinics in August on 8/12 and 8/19. They are no longer doing walk-in clinics - they are by appointment only. Just a reminder that Public Health is only able to provide vaccines to those who are VFC eligible (medi-cal eligible, Native American, or uninsured).
