Our event this Saturday, August 15 is cancelled as well as our September 19 event. Our events tab shows the August and September events but if you go directly to the the event pages you will see they are cancelled. The City of Huntington Beach is still not allowing sporting events because of COVID-19. The October and November events remain on schedule at this time. We are trying to remain optimistic but will keep you updated as we get closer to the events. Thank you all. Stay safe and healthy.

Happy 4th of July!!

Unfortunately, we have to cancel our race this Saturday, June 6 because of the Covid-19 Stay at Home order. The venue where our races are held is on City land and we must follow their guidelines. Huntington Beach is currently in Stage 2 of reopening the City. Live sports events such as horse shows and barrel races fall under Stage 3-4. If the City moves to Stage 3 later this month or next month, we hope to reschedule the race in that timeframe. Thank you for your patience. See you soon!

The amazing facility where our upcoming barrel races will be held remains closed to the general public at this time in compliance with Orange County guidelines. The good news, as we previously announced, is we are now WCBRA sanctioned! We can’t wait to start racing! If you need WCBRA points, be sure to check out our calendar or the WCBRA events calendar. We are so excited to announce Surf City Barrel Racing is now WCBRA sanctioned!! Please check their calendar and our’s for all race dates. We can’t wait to start barrel racing in beautiful Huntington Beach!

Because of the California ‘Stay at Home’ order, we are postponing our April 4th inaugural barrel race. What a way to start off barrel racing in Huntington Beach! The Stay at Home order is in place until further notice so, at this time, we have no proposed make-up date. As of now, our May 2nd race is still on the calendar. Like all of you, we are hopeful the worst of this crisis will be over by that time and life will be back to some semblance of normal. Let’s hope, pray, cross our fingers, wish upon star - whatever works for you - that this will be the case. Thank you all and stay tuned for updates. Meanwhile, let’s all do our part to stay safe and virus free.
