Wisdom Wednesday Learn to love your process, don't do it just for money, do it because it's your passion and it brings you joy. Life is too short to sacrifice joy and happiness for the sake of making money. For me the process of being a Martial artist is about everyday striving to be better and do better than I did the previous day. ... I once heard the saying "never take advice from someone worse off than you" I never had a chance to remark on this...but, it is a misleading phrase, for example what does worse off than you truly mean? Money, fame, material possessions, love, happiness. It doesn't get to the heart of the matter. The phrase should be "never take advice from someone who doesn't understand your process" Not everyone is out just for money.

Throwback Thursday; Robert training his setups and spinning Elbow. This drill was taught to me by my JKD shifu and I incorporated it to keep it alive and well. Robert was my first student in Sanda/Kickboxing and he's proven that he is and will always will be an amazing person. I am so very proud of all he's accomplished both in the ring and out. Talented fighter, innovator, and keen mind. ... 3 months training under me and he was already beating and sparring with "Black Belts".

Wisdom is doing" After leaving my 2 year stint at a local martial arts school, I am ready to apply all the knowledge I have learned; Marketing, Retention, Administration, Working with families, kids, and students of all walks of life. ... Our Academy is growing steadily and I'm proud to say by the end of this month we will be at 30 students.
