We are thrilled to announce the welcoming of Sun Devil Varsity Football’s new head coach, Kyle Godfrey! Coach Godfrey graduated from Apple Valley High School in 2003 as a student athlete lettering in Football, Track & Basketball. After high school graduation, he attended the University of Redlands where he was part of two Football Conference Championship teams. Upon graduating from Redlands, Kyle returned to his high school Alma Mater to teach History, this is where his caree...r as a coach began. In the 13 years Coach Godfrey has been at AVHS, he has been the head coach of both Varsity Track and Field and Varsity Girls’ Basketball. For 9 years Kyle has been instrumental in our amazing football program in various coaching positions. He spent time as our Head Freshman coach where he led the team to an 18-2 record!! At the Varsity level, Coach Godfey has been an Assistant and Offensive Coordinator. However, the most important role he enjoys the most is being the husband to a loving and supportive wife as well as a father to three amazing and busy children.
