Mentors play an important role in helping #SummitRainier seniors develop their #concretenextsteps. They work with students to help them search for their passion and pursue their interests. Reflection is an important part of learning at #summitRainier. We reflect when we learn something new or when we’re analyzing solutions to challenges. It’s also important to reflect before the end of the year in order to assess progress on meeting goals. Mentors and teachers are dedicated to helping students reflect on their learning and goals. Every May we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, but this May is so unlike every other May. This May, we enter our eighth week of Virtual School. With our students now learning from home, at the kitchen table, in their bedrooms and from the couch, teachers also had some quick learning to do. Our teachers had to figure out how to educate in this new Virtual School paradigm. Summit educators always bring a level of excellence to their students and mentees. In particular, they ...have brought to life what is at the heart of being a teacher. Because of our teachers and staff, Summit students continue to be engaged in learning and connecting with their school communities. Words cannot describe the level of appreciation that we have for each of our teachers. They continue to be an inspiration to our entire community! Thank you for your dedication to your students and the important work you do all year long! We are extremely grateful. #SummitStrong #SummitRainier #SummitTeachersRock! Cada mes de mayo celebramos la Semana de Apreciación de los Maestros, pero este mes de mayo es muy diferente a todos los demás. Este mayo, entramos en nuestra octava semana de escuela virtual.
