It’s been a WEEK. I had so many irons in the fire this year. TOO many to be totally transparent with you. I said yes more than I said no. I hustled hard. In other areas other than my business. It has been so dang incredibly rewarding, and I truly don’t take a single second of my fruit for granted. I guess it’s just that, I recognize I still struggle with some serious unhealthy perfectionist tendencies, and I have been finding my joy and worth in my performance. Vs. simpl...y being a daughter of the one True King.. Real talk. Not a good combo. I have heard God not just whisper, but SEAR some words on my heart today, repeatedly. Whenever I started to beat myself up I start to hear, Come as you are. Just as you are. Then shortly after that He assures me, Your brokenness is welcome here Summer. Then I get CHILLS. It affirms for me that I’m not too much for Him. He accepts me for me, flaws, quirks and all. He sees everything I DO do and He is pleased with me. He reminds me that today is enough to worry about. That I am in control of what happens today and how I choose to respond. That I am in control of creating the balance and leaning on HIM for the strength and grit!! God says, Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 After randomly coming across that Bible verse today, I thought about How real our God is. How well He knows us and all our pains, hopes, and dreams. He intentionally let me stumble across that verse. That verse instantly put my heart at ease and booted my anxieties away and I couldn’t help but open up my heart with you

Christmas Traditions! Honestly my family wasn’t too big on them growing up. We made Jesus a birthday cake, we would go to Christmas Eve service, open one gift Christmas Eve night, and walk or drive Christmas Tree Lane at some point! This year we started a new Tradition. I finally caved and let that stupid elf info out home. I remembered to move him all but two nights, and honestly that’s a win in my book considering how crazy buys of a season it’s been for me! I’ve had so m...uch fun watching the girls search for him with joy every morning and then cracking up when they find him! I just decorated for Christmas last week. Barely y’all. Next year I’m going to have a lot more boundaries around the Holiday Season! Mom guilt is at an all time high but I’m trying so hard to savor what’s left of this magical time with my girls So tell me, what are your family traditions? I would LOVE to incorporate some new traditions!

Happy 7th birthday to my girl Finley The girl that first made me a mommy. To the girl that made me grow in ways I can’t even explain. The girl that pushes me to be better. To the girl that makes me quite literally, pause to stop and smell the flowers. ... Finley is KIND hearted, free spirited, outspoken and bold. She is downright FUNNY by nature. She is very extra just like her mommy As animal loving as all get out. She will make anything with 4 legs and fur be her friend within minutes. She is quite the nature girl and wishes she could be homeless just so she can live outside and be an Indian! She loves her little sister and is so protective of her. She lives for her friend time. She appreciates music and remembers the majority of songs after listening to them once. She is a very adventurous eater and will try just about anything! She can entertain herself for hours in the dirt with just sticks and rocks, I love her imagination. She loves to be barefoot outside, and of course to run, swim, and climb trees! She especially loves her mare Fancy and can’t wait to be a rodeo cowgirl one day. My love for her is out of this world. I can’t help but be so dang of her and who she already is! I feel so thankful I get to be her mommy and celebrate her today. It’s been the craziest, best 7 years, and I am simply so thankful. Happy birthday to my Fin

No Uber rides available My heart almost fell out my butt. I had 3 back to back shoots in the stockyards about 2 hours PRIOR to reading that response plastered across my phone from trying to order a ride. The smidgen of millennial in me didn’t think twice about cars not being able to pick me up 45 minutes away from the Stockyards #toldyouimaninfant ... I met this beauty at a styled shoot with and @empleckerphotography. (I offered to do bts videos for them for Reels and trade headshots +++ learned better ways to communicate with my models!) I stayed in Texas an extra day JUST to make it to that styled shoot and ended up booking those 3 extra sessions. It ended up being my favorite day in Texas! Then @sundialshowclothing and her husband and I went to Cattleman’s and culled through the big styled shoot on my laptop over tequila later that night. Rachel is a SUPER gifted makeup artist. She was the makeup artist for the styled shoot with the talented Emily’s! She lives in Dallas and offered to drop me off at the stockyards on her way home Total God thing to have met her. So I offered to do some updated headshots for her and her business in return! I met some of the COOLEST women at that shoot. KIND women that are so down to earth and passionate and good at what they do, yet don’t have their heads up their butts My kinda gals. Please tell me I’m not the only one that didn’t plan accordingly and almost got royally screwed and been stranded if it weren’t for @rdgmakeup Also, I think it’s so neat what this little app has done. I used to despise it but now I love it because I have met some of the coolest people ever because of it

2021 goal: Ride more, worry less I can’t help but look back and reflect on my 2020 year. It was challenging for us ALL to say the very least! It was a year of serious growth. I learned so much as a mother, a business owner, and most importantly, a woman! I really did break out of my shell and started focusing on my true passion and love in photography: All things Western! From the western fashion world, homegrown western families, to the authentic cowgirl and cowboy couple...s alike. It truly is what sets my creative heart and soul on fire! *Although I will say I’m still a total and complete sucker for a good love story no matter who you are. I’m big on life celebrations like welcoming a brand new baby to the world, documenting a personal achievement (because growing is worth celebrating+documenting) or showcasing your business and your brand you’re so passionate about!* In 2021 I’ve got some wills: I WILL have better, faster wifi. I will have more quality time with my girls. I will rope more! I will plan more styled shoots of my wildest dreams. I will laugh more. I will have WAY MORE ADVENTURES! Nicole is living PROOF that homeschool kids turn out pretty alright After the styled shoot we all went to @oldstagesaloon and got to know one another even more and we got on the topic of homeschooling! I found out she was homeschooled ALL of her school years. All the way up until graduating from highschool!!!! I thought I had met an ACTUAL mythical unicorn ... Nicole confidently told me that homeschooling was the best thing her parents ever did for her. Her and her brother were able to learn real life skills. Especially through 4H and ranching. She knew how to balance a checkbook at the age of 9! Looking back over her childhood and adolescent years, she now realizes just how valuable being homeschooled was. That it was a gift that keeps on giving to this day. Sure they did their homework and learned everything that kids in public school did she explained, but they were also heavily involved in showing livestock at their local county fair and jackpots all over the state of CA, along with ranching. She believes it taught her and her brother so much more than books ever could! Things she wouldn’t be able to experience and learn if she was stuck in a classroom for 8 hours a day. Meeting well rounded adults like Nicole continues to give me so much hope and confidence that going against the grain by choosing to homeschool (life school) is the best decision I could have possibly made for my girls! Tips on having an eye catching IG grid! The truth is, I have crazy ridiculous content/grid standards I have brought upon myself here lately now that I have niched down. I aim to make my grid as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as possible, even during this crazy season of my life I know, I know. I’m a weirdo, I obviously don’t have this nailed. But hear me out! I think one of the reasons why it is so important for us either as photographers, entrepreneurs, inf...luencers or as (fill in the blank) to have a consistent looking grid, is because it is supposed to be a crystal CLEAR representation of your work. It represents YOU and your BIZ! That way people and clients know exactly what to expect when they come across your page! It showcases your brand. It repels and attracts potential clients and followers. Which is a GOOD thing! Some tips I have learned over the past year when choosing what to post to have an eye catching grid is to: 1. Post a brighter image then a slightly darker image. That’s still relevant to your style. 2. A close up image, and then a further away image. 3. A person, and then a thing. Whether that’s an animal, a bouquet, some products, or whatever the heck really! There’s no rulebook when it comes to this. It’s honestly fun and by mixing it up really gives your grid fun pops and draws the eye to whoever stumbles across your page! This may sound silly but it’s what has prevented me from posting I’ve gotten better about not being so much of a perfectionist and just posting. **Plus. I want every client to have their own square wherever that may be in my grid!** I’ve always been a curator even as a little girl. I always rearranged my room growing up. Composition excites me. I want it to be cold enough to wear a wild rag, bundled up in a jacket with a warm cup of joe in my hand before saddling horses at the crack of dawn. Still half awake with my hair pulled back in a braid, and a big smile on my face. I want to gather cattle with friends and loved ones as I watch the sun rise. Sort calves off momma cows. I want to stand by the fire with a camera in hand.... But most of all, I want to be IN the branding pen for the first time in my life and get to rope calves this year. I’ve always talked myself out of it. I’m too old I would tell myself. I’m 26. The guys will make fun of me if I miss, I’d make myself believe. Everyone misses. And everyone starts somewhere. I know I’d regret not giving it a go WAY more than giving it a go and sucking. I want to be humble enough to suck for a while in order to learn and get better and become more of a hand. I have always wanted to rope and drag calves in the branding pen. So dammit that’s what I’ll do. I’m going to show myself and my daughters what it’s like to be bold. To believe in yourself. So cheers to living life on purpose, intentionally. Because the time is here and now. We don’t get a second go. The go is now. I don’t want to piss it away wondering what if and sulking in the could have beens when my body isn’t able one day down the road. I made a mistake. In my business. I didn’t invest in the right website designer. I knew I was in too busy of a season to do it myself so I wanted to hire a professional that specialized in it. I thought I did my homework and read enough reviews about this person who built my website. ... They sent me a questionnaire and everything beforehand to really understand my brand. We vibed SO well and talked on the phone for hours! I sent this person a vision board on Pinterest. I felt so confident and excited! When I received the preview link to my website my jaw dropped. It was nothing that I had imagined. It was so simple and basic, like a template you could pull off the web. It was bad. Since I signed a contract, I couldn’t get a refund. My heart sank. Almost 1k down the drain. My hard earned money tossed away like that. That will forever sting a bit. I have since then forgiven myself for what I didn’t know now. So let this be a learning lesson for us all, that you get what you pay for. Cheap work isn’t good and good work isn’t cheap. Invest in top quality right off the bat or you’ll have to put in twice the amount of money if not more for the long haul. Know that YOU are worth it. Your BIZ is worth it. On that note. My top 5 travel tips I’m honestly not too big of a traveler in this season of life but I learned a lot from my most recent trip to Texas for the NFR! 1. Pack your heaviest items in your carry on bag. Think shoes, jeans, heavy necklaces, etc. so that way you have more room in your check in bag! (Thanks @pretty.stumped for that pro tip)... 2. Try your best to look up what you want to do before you get there and have a plan! Schedule in the down time too. Time flies when you’re there, so be sure to get the most from your trip! 3. BUDGET. Have a budget and stick to it. Start saving now! The Uber’s, tickets, food, drinks and shopping add up faster than you think! 4. Prioritize sleep and hydration! Pack some earplugs, an eye cover sleep mask for the bright airbnb/hotel rooms, and some magnesium to encourage a good night’s rest. Make sure you’re drinking your H20 and are replenishing any lost electrolytes! 5. Plan your outfits beforehand instead of throwing your whole wardrobe in your luggage. Meet Sami + Danny (+ Cutter!) These little love birds didn’t meet on accident. Danny slid into Sami’s DM’s on IG a while back and she totally ignored him. He continued to pursue her and said, I think you accidentally left me on read, and she legit said to him, it wasn’t an accident. They didn’t talk after that for a while, (and rightfully so ) But then PLOT TWIST she saw him at the same barrel race she was at one night, so their mutual friend Luke told her to say hi... to him. She walked by Danny really fast and told him, Luke told me to say hi. Danny didn’t let her get away after that. They ended up going on their first date a few days later! They talked on the phone between then and although she thought it sounded crazy at the time, she knew he was the one after that last night phone call. They stayed up until 3 in the morning just talking on their first date!!! It was supposed to just be dinner. It’s safe to say they never looked back after that! I love how Danny PURSUED her. I love that Sami gave him a chance and ended up falling for him. I absolutely loved their session, it was so easy to get them to connect with one another. I love couples that don’t solely give too big of a shit about what they look like necessarily, but they can also allow themselves to be goofy and let go. To LOVE on each other and have FUN with one another as I give them prompts to encourage just that! It’s not just about the pretty pictures. It’s about your love story, as cheesy as that may sound! It’s about the experience. It’s about making new memories and letting me preserve them and your relationship through photographs! Photographs that will be passed down throughout the years to showcase your legacy. They’re a full circle investment. Double tap if you had a portrait session done before, and what I REALLY wanted to say after all this, is if you love a solid man that still knows how to pursue the hell out of a woman!!!!!

NFR 2020 in Texas When I had the opportunity to go on this trip, I took it immediately. I’d sort out the details later. Because I knew I HAD to do this. It was so out of my comfort zone. Like, shit my PANTS out of my comfort zone. But y’all. I did it anyways. I kicked myself so effing far out of my comfort zone with my struggle with anxiety and pushed aside the mom guilt for leaving my babies for the bigger picture. ... For the bigger dream. I have tears welling up in my eyes as I write this because I’m so damn thankful, and I have to say, I’m truly so proud of myself for being bold and believing in me. Im proud of all the networking, collaborating, and meeting powerhouse women that are working so hard in this industry. I asked so many questions and learned so many new things. I love the western fashion world. I’m so passionate about working with brands and influencers that see their dreams and visions come to life through my photographs. It fires me UP. They say to do one thing a day that scares you. So go do something today that makes you a little uncomfortable and do it anyways babe. Here’s your sign. You got this

Do you back up your pictures? ALL my barrel racing videos and pictures are gone. Gone for good. Granted, I was a teenager and young adult at the time and I didn’t know any better than to just keep them on my phone. Aaaand I went and accidentally dropped my iphone in the water one day. Face. Palm. ... This was before I learned about life proof cases, and a lot of things that I now know as a photographer! I know know that backing up your images are an INVESTMENT. It’s a fool proof way of protecting your precious memories. Whether you’re a professional photographer, or not, I think these tips can apply to anyone with pictures and videos they care about and want to preserve! So here is what I have learned about backing up over the years: 1. Invest in iCloud, seriously! Set up the account. Pay the 2.99 a month or whatever it is. It’s so worth it if your phone or laptop gets stolen or you drop your phone in water. That way your images will constantly be backing up and you know you can access them at any point online. 2. Invest in Backblaze on your computers and laptops. It’s an online backup that automatically backs up your pictures and videos to whatever device it’s installed on. 5 bucks a month. Again, so worth it. 3. Invest in 2-4 external hard drives! Depending on how many pictures and videos you take. Back your images up immediately to at least two separate sources. My favorite brand is the @lacie_tech (not sponsored in any way, but would not be opposed ) 4. Obviously take care of your hard drives and treat them with respect! I’m still learning and working on a lot of things It’s a humbling sport that’s for dang sure. But I’m absolutely addicted and committed to learning and getting better with the more and more steers I turn in every practice pen. *Remember, it’s never too late to learn something new.* I love country music. The good old stuff. The genuine Texas red dirt. The kind with lyrics that cover your body in chills. The kind that you can shamelessly play on repeat all week long I’ve got two beautiful GIRLS on the ground! I always thought I’d be a boy mom yet here I am because God’s got a sense of humor!!! They are FUNNY, they are smart they are tough as all get out but most importantly they are kind. You know that saying? Start with what you have, because what you have is plenty. I can confidently say that I have had a taste of living by that this past month.... Let me give you a quick run down friends. My husband’s truck finally broke down after running her for almost 400k miles. Ole Silva did good, she was tired It quit on him almost a month ago and we’ve been scraping up the money trying to save up to buy him a new one. He’s been having to take mine to work and it’s absolutely humbling to say the least having to share a vehicle. I’ve been stuck at home with our little ones more often than not and I’m not going to lie y’all, it was quite the adjustment for me. Any time I started to get a bad attitude about being stuck at home, prohibiting me from working on my business, or taking the kids to get out, or running errands at my leisure, I would have to slap myself out of it. *Talking in third person, you know, like I normally do * Summer, you GET to be at home right now. Take advantage of it. You’re at home for a PURPOSE. I kept hearing in my head.. You temporarily don’t have a truck? Yeah it sucks at times. But what can you be doing to move the needle in your business during this season of being at home? What intentional time can you be spending with your kids now? Start with what you have, because it is plenty. You had to cut out a babysitter because you had to readjust your budget? You best make good use of the time you do have, and plan it extra strategically, because the time you do have, will have to be plenty. If you want something bad enough, you’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse. We’ve all heard that one right? We have to take our thoughts captive and cling to these truths: I have so much to be thankful for and there are so many opportunities right at my fingertips. I have to quit waiting and wanting for the perfect time or the perfect THING. It won’t exist, and you won’t be happy THEN if you aren’t happy NOW in the journey. WE have to MAKE the perfect time and start with what we ALREADY have because what we have is more than plenty!!!!! See more

It’s definitely far and few between but I’m trying to get better at showing up I think it’s time for me to admit a few things you may not know about mahself so here goes nothing! ... * I’m a dork. A true goofy goober! I like to have fun. Laughing is truly one of my love languages I swear There’s something so therapeutic about a good cackle #doublechinsandall * I’m a super passionate person. I care deeply about people. I get along with almost anyone and everyone * I always have long in depth replies no matter how hard I try to keep things short and sweet OR I just won’t reply until I have the time to give my full heart and energy I’m way more of a phone call kinda person for that very reason. Context is big. * I smile all the time, apparently even when I tell a sad story * Sometimes I’m awkward. But I love to joke around and make light of things! Im super extra but I’m sure you know that by now * I’d like to consider myself pretty humble. I love to learn new things and I’m not afraid of constructive criticism. I encourage it. Whether that comes to team roping or photography or even my attitude. That’s how we evolve. I’m not for everyone and that’s okay! I refuse to be a watered down version of me for people to like me. I promise you I will always show up as me. I promise you I will shoot you straight. I promise you I will probably care a little too much, but that’s who I am. Fall minis are upon us y’all! I decided to offer Fall Minis this year!! I’ll be doing them in two separate locations on different weekend dates. October 31st (I know it’s Halloween ) and November 1st in Fresno at the first location pictured for AM sunrise minis! ... Then November 7th and 8th in Woodlake at the second location in my neck of the woods for PM sunset sessions! Here are the deets: $175 for 20 minute sessions, and 15 high resolution images. Meet my childhood bestie Macie And her husband Tyler! Macie and I grew up together! Our moms were best friends. ... We were those super nerdy horse crazy girls in class. Straight up We had Breyer horses for DAYZ and would play for hours together, dreaming up the craziest and funniest scenes with our horses and our American Girl Dolls. We lived for horse camp and Hume lake every single Summer! We were inseparable. My family and I moved away to a town called Temecula in So Cal when I turned 7, but we never let the miles apart get in the way. Mace and I would write letters back and forth, and my mom made it a point to make visits back home as often as possible. Every single summer I would still make it to Hume Lake Christian Camp with her church! From wagon train in elementary to Ponderosa in HS #IYKYK My family and I moved back when I was 16! I went to her high school for the rest of my junior year. We would do at home facials on one another with hot washcloths and extraction tools We were still horse crazy as ever and swamped with school and sports. The TEARS and the LAUGHS and the memories I have shared with this girl over the years, I will cherish forever. I cried the first time I met her husband. He was literally the most kindest man I had probably ever met. I smiled my face off for her. She was one of those girls that had super high standards and never settled. Played hard to get so I knew he had to be a heck of a man of God. He is. They got married just last year. Macie’s bridesmaid colors for her dresses were white and OF course it was the first day of THAT TIME for me but The Lord watched over me, #blessup It’s so crazy that we are now adults and have our own lives going on, miles away again. But whenever we get back together, we pick up right where we left off. She will forever be my fellow curly haired sis. I’m not going to lie.. The thought of how much editing that lies ahead of me with all my photoshoots this month and the next all while balancing a home, homeschooling my oldest and wrangling our almost 2 year old and juggling ranch life on top of it all, is.... overwhelming to say the least. I’m hiring babysitters more than ever. Mom guilt sets in. But then I quickly remind myself it’s possible to do both, raise babies and work, and it’s okay to ask for help. That I’m settin...g a wonderful example for my girls. My turnaround time is a lot longer than usual this time of year, and that bothers me. I edit any chance I can. It’s important to me that you get your pictures back as soon as humanly possible! But y’all. I have to say something that’s been on my heart lately as I’m in the midst of my busiest season EVER.. Words cannot even begin to describe how THANKFUL I am for my clients and all the people that have believed in me and encouraged me and saw something in me and my work throughout the years. The kind words I have received lately have left me shook. Someone told me my images are worth the wait! A lady told me they’ve been looking for a photographer like me with my exact editing style There are no words to describe the gratitude that occupies my heart from hearing those words. I am the most on fire I have ever been, I have clear vision. I am SO freaking inspired right now and I’m absolutely hungry to grow and continue my photography education. Invest in myself and my business. Im hungry to make magic I’m hungry to learn more because I want to improve in some areas. I want to learn how I can serve my clients even better. And really, I’m just SO DANG THANKFUL I get to do what I’m so freaking passionate about for a living. At first this was a hobby. But I’m turning it into something greater. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and ran with it. I get to meet awesome people and make friends for life and share my gifts with people that in turn help contribute towards my family. Tips to best prepare for family sessions! Hurrrr weeee gooo! 1. Momma should pick out her outfit first, then pick everyone else’s outfits after that compliment yours. Focus on how your outfit makes you feel. Do you feel beautiful and comfortable in it? If so you’ll feel super confident and I PROMISE it’ll show in your pictures. Family pictures are an important investment so remember, you have full permission to get dolled up for them 2. Solid neutral tones tend to ...be the least distracting and visually appealing. Don’t worry about being too matchy matchy. Pick a color and then piece together hues and tones that compliment one another! 3. Come fed. There’s nothing worse than getting hangry half way through a session #amiright Be sure to pack snacks and water for the littles in case hunger strikes! 4. Let your family know in advance how FUN and special these pictures will be. Let them know they can relax and let loose. Explain how much they should mean to all of you and why. You’re documenting your legacy! 4. Try to prep everything in advance so you can be fully present and stress free the day of your session. I love being loved by a cowboy Apparently today’s International Cowboy Day! So I thought I’d share some of my favorite traits I have noticed and appreciated since being with a cowboy: There’s something so attractive about a man that works with his hands. He’s good with them. ... His love for his family, horses, dogs, guns, trucks, and cattle are pretty unmatched. He is handy as all get out. Seriously. He can ride and rope almost anything. He’s old school and still believes in respect and being a gentleman. He’s truly fearless! He is so brave. Too brave. He pays attention to all the little details most people often overlook. He is so strong. There’s nothing like hard working muscles built on a ranch or on a fence job! He is stubborn, Lord is he stubborn. I like to call him strong willed and very confident. He’s most definitely a natural born leader. He is tender hearted when he allows himself to be. He has such a great sense of humor, truly, I have never snort cackle laughed so hard in my whole dang life than I have with him. True cowboys are some of the finest, most honorable and lovable men in the country. I’m so proud I’ve been swooped up by a genuine cowboy of my own. Photogs! This tip is for you When shooting in manual mode, I have learned to expose for my highlights, by adjusting my settings to slightly underexposed. That way, we don’t blow out our highlights and are able to keep all the important little details! Think bright, backlit backgrounds, a bride’s wedding dress, her bouquet, and the intricate little details of a brand new baby’s peach fuzz on their skin for examples. We always want to try to nail it in camera of cou...rse and get our exposure just right, but by slightly under exposing helps cover our butts post-processing! We save a lot of time editing when we nail it in camera. This tip is especially helpful on bright sunny days when the sun is higher and the light is harsh but can really be applied with any kind of lighting! Was this tip helpful? I had NO idea how much my life would change when I became a mom. No privacy when you go to the bathroom. Taking a shower is an Olympic sport. Wiping butts becomes your part time job.... It can be lonely at times. Not getting to ride your horses whenever you please. xx I may have to be more strategic in my time management. I have to plan ahead. Schedule. Die to self and ask for some dang help every now and then. But gosh dang, I wouldn’t trade it for the world looking back on my life prior. I always envisioned myself being a boy mom. I didn’t feel I was cut out for raising girls. Strong willed girls at that, LAWD HAVE MERCY But they are both so incredible. So freaking FUNNY. They amaze me. God knew how bad my heart and pride needed them. I have experienced a love so out of this world. A greater purpose and a more meaningful why that drive the things I do. Hearing of so many infertility issues, I realize that it is a privilege getting to bear and raise children, and I don’t take the blessing or duty for granted. Even on the tough days when I just need some dang peace and quiet and sleep, I’m instantly reminded by how blessed and thankful I am when I see their sweet little faces. Something I have been practicing lately is mindfulness. Presence. I ask myself, where are you right now? What are you doing? Then I say, BE where you are. Shanya+Jacob plus the CUTEST dog and pony show you ever did see! These two were literally made for one another I swear. They have so much in common and their love was obvious. I couldn’t stop smiling throughout the whole session. We cheered to white claws and laughed and bsd and talked in our weird animal voices to all the fur kids.. okay maybe that was just Shanya and I I wish I could do these sessions all the time, it’s where I’m in my element the most. VACAYS! We have literally not been away from home in MONTHS. We have waaayyyy too many friggin animals to entrust to someone to take care of Well this weekend we have the best of the best help, and we are finally getting away to go camping as a family up in the mountains to celebrate my husband Jake for Father’s Day! My heart could honestly explode with joy and anticipation! ... We get eaten alive by mosquitoes, especially me, I get WELTS from those little mofos. So #sendhelp on the best natural bug spray?? I’m totally game for the DEET stuff if that’s all that will work because literally anything in this world is better than the itch of DOOM you get after you discover a bite. We are going to hike, fish, and straight relax for once instead of do a zillion home projects this weekend. I already feel recharged and refreshed at the thought I personally love beach getaways as well but Jake not so much! So we usually always go camping. I love being outdoors. I love adventures! I love making memories. It truly is the simple things that mean the most in life! So what is your favorite kind of getaway and why? How far in advance do you plan and budget for your vacations? Are we living in FEAR? With all the media frenzy and recent government control of canceling events, concerts, schools, etc, it can put us all in a serious funk and send us into a downward spiral real quick like if we aren’t careful. It has made me realize how important it is to carefully curate the content I can be in control of. Become more intentional with what I allow to flow through my head space. Whether that’s through the radio, social media, and those I allow i...n my circle. We are in control of what we consume. Did you read that? YOU are in control of what YOU CHOOSE to consume. So choose wisely. Don’t buy into the hyped up scare tactic propaganda and live in fear and not live your dang life. #yepiwentthere (For the record, this absolutely does not downplay the virus, we should absolutely take the necessary steps to take proper precautions.) 1000%. But I guess my whole point is that fear can seriously stifle our growth and hold us back. Too much fear converts to stress and anxiety making our lives actually more complicated. Dealing with STRESS becomes more of an issue than the thing we are actually fearing in the first place. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. So chill friends, take a step back, wash yo hands, eat your fruits and veggies, be in control of what you can actually control, and above all, trust in our Creator. Brides+Baby goats! K now that I got your attention with this friggin CUTE a** kid that my own kid is holding BRIDES, this one’s for you. How to get the most out of your engagement session:... 1. Choose your outfits ahead of time! Okay seems like a no brainer right. But I just gotta say there’s nothing worse than scrambling to find pieces that go together the day of your session! Trust me, the sooner you find an outfit the more confident and comfortable you will feel I personally love neutral, earthy tones in greenery and outdoor lighting! I have found that busy patterns tend to be distracting so try your best to stick to the solid colors if you can help it! Most importantly, make sure you feel comfortable and love the way your outfit makes you feel 2. Express to your fiancé how much these photos mean to you and why they are so important. Validate how he might feel about having his pictures taken and assure him that he will look good, do great, and most importantly, let him know that you guys will actually be having FUN together! Engagement pictures are also about the experience! 3. Try to book your makeup trial for the day of your engagement session so you can see how you like your makeup photographed for your wedding day! (Don’t be like me and get your makeup done for the first time ever by a makeup artist the day of your wedding and look like someone you’re not ) 4.Book your engagement session far enough in advance so that if you decide to use some pictures for your save the dates they will be ready in time! WASSUP WORLD My name is Summer!! Fun fact: Growing up I didn’t like my name too much because kids would always make fun of me, but now I have totally learned to love it. I feel like it’s pretty suiting for the hippie that I am and my bubbly, bold personality! x... I want to introduce myself with who I am and some random facts since I haven’t shown up in these squares in quite a while! x I’m a believer and a daughter of the one true King, Christ Jesus! I’m a wifey to the hottest cowboy that ever walked the face of the planet, Jake! I’m a Momma to 2 beautiful, STRONG WILLED girls, Finley who’s 6, and Layton who just turned 1! (We aren’t sure if we are done having kids or not!) Aaaaand I’m literally living my dream job, being a wedding and family lifestyle photographer and being a stay at home momma in between shoots and editing! x I love animals! All the animals. *I always encourage clients to BRING YUR FUR KIDS to your session if you want!* We currently have 4 horses, (one expecting to foal in the next couple months) 2 dogs, and 3 outdoor cats to help keep the mouse population down around our country home. This is Finley, my 6 year old daughter She loves music, dancing, singing, coloring, telling jokes, listening to motivational speeches, and of course, ALL the animals! But one thing she has been particularly obsessed about lately, is being a cowgirl. I told myself as a mom that I would let my girls have their own dreams, that I would help foster them becoming their own individuals and fiercely support them in whatever that may be.... I’m not going to lie, it has been so neat to see her intentionally choose to follow our footsteps and love this lifestyle just as much as we do. She has been building her confidence learning how to ride lately, and learned how to swing a rope this past weekend! The look on her face was darn right priceless when she got it, and even more priceless when she CAUGHT! Now she wants to take her rope everywhere with her and rope anything she possibly can She refuses to wear anything but jeans and button ups and her boots because, that’s what cowgirls wear and I’m a real cowgirl now. We never forced her to pick up a rope. We never forced her to swing one. She wanted it for herself and decided to put in the work and practice every day and suddenly, it clicked for her! She believed in herself and didn’t quit until she got it, and she still hasn’t! (That is until it’s time to go to school or sleep and is forced to put her rope away. ) She inspires me to dream big, believe in myself too, and reminds me that she is constantly watching me Being a parent can be flippin hard, but can also be so dang cool. Mommin will always me my most important job next to being a wife. I am so thankful I get to be a mom. See more

First look yesss or nooo? I am SO glad my husband Jake and I decided to do a first look on our wedding day My heart was pounding with excitement as we were back to back, hand in hand, moments away from revealing myself for the first time as his soon to be bride. The look on his face was truly so unforgettable when we turned around and he saw me! ... We embraced one another in a hug and we talked and we laughed with our fingers still laced together. He was able to be vulnerable and share his true emotions without our friends and family watching. It was such an intimate time to share together just the two of us on our busy wedding day that I will always be so incredibly thankful for!!! Plus, I got to spend more time with him, and who doesn’t want to spend more time with the love of their life on one of the most important days in their life?! Forever a first look fan since I experienced these perks firsthand as a bride However the heck you choose to plan your special day will be perfect as long as it’s true to you and your values! I was there to document this girl in her mommy’s tummy, the moment she was born, for her 3, 6, and 9 month milestones, and now her turning ONE! You guysssss. There is hardly any greater honor on earth then being chosen to be the documentarian for your growing babes. Seeing their growth throughout the months is such a bittersweet reminder for me as a momma myself with my own babies that time. is. fleeting! I remember her coming earthside in the comfort of her mommy and daddy’s... home (#homebirth) like it was yesterday!! How the heck did it fly by so fast!? We had a BLAST at Sawyer’s one year cake smash session! Sawyer is proof that there is beauty after a storm. She is their rainbow baby and she is such a little beam of JOY! I seriously love her and feel so STINKIN blessed to have captured such beautiful moments of her during her first year of life here on earth. 2 whole months have flew by with our little Layton. If I could describe her in one word it would be content. She is the chillest baby in all the land and I am so thankful that she is! She loves to chat and smile and watch her big sister. Being worn is her favorite. I love all her little baby chunks, she is 13 pounds! Our lives are so much better with her in it and the wait for her was so, so worth it.

Layton Lynnae Price Born at home in the water February 10th at 1:53am 9lbs 6 oz 21 inches long All praise goes to our Christ God for giving me the strength and ability to birth her naturally with no medical intervention in the comfort of our home in the water! Jake was so amazing supporting me the whole time, never left my side. One of the most empowering, emotional experiences of our entire existence. Baby and I are doing great! Daddy is head over heels for her. We haven’...t slept much since we are just so obsessively in love with her. We are still on a high! One of the best days of our entire life. She was sooooo worth the wait and was born exactly when and how she was meant to be born!!!! Big sissy clearly adores her! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers everyone!!
