#NurseFire Update#4 As of 3:30pm, Solano County OES - Office of Emergency Services Mobile Command 1 has been released from the #NurseFire. Fire personnel will r...emain in the area battling this brush fire, which is still burning southbound away from State Route 12 Towards Grizzly Island Road. Both, eastbound ane westbound lanes of traffic are now open. Please drive carefully. No evacuations orders in place or structures threatened at this time. Estimated at 60% containment per Suisun Fire Protection District. Update #3 As of 2:30pm, the #NurseFire Incident Command estimates the #NurseFire at approximately 1,500 acres. There is no estimate of containment at this time, still no evacuation orders in place. Update #2 Air assets are currently on scene and crews are directing the #NurseFire to the #BranscombeFire burn scar, where there is no fuel. The #NurseFire started from a semi-truck /trailer, which was traveling eastbound on State Route 12 near Nurse Slough. We are still asking our community members to stay away from the area so first responders can battle this fire. Currently eastbound traffic on State Route 12 is shut down to one lane for east/westbound traffic from Walters Road, Suisun. We will continue to update as necessary, currently there are still no active evacuation orders in place.

This message is to clarify information that has been sent from outside the Fairfield Police Department. There are currently NO evacuation orders within the Cit...y of Fairfield. There is a mandatory evacuation order in Unincorporated Solano County outside of the city limits. For information on the Solano County evacuations, please visit the Solano County Sheriff's Facebook Page. If the fire continues to spread and begins to threaten homes within the Fairfield City Limits, the Fairfield Police and Fire Departments will notify residents via the Nixle notification system. To sign up for Nixle text alerts, please text 94533 to 888777 Again, there are no evacuation orders anywhere within the Fairfield City Limits.
