Here’s the second version of Hermann’s Nativity. Ready for the first tack fuse.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP: 3gg: 14/16 of May 2018 Franchini Style Shaded Murrine. with Loren Stump The class will start with quick and simple murrine projects, such as ladybugs and shaded flower petals. Through demonstration and hands-on experience, the class will move on to shaded face components. The simple components will be assembled together to form more complex designs, such as butterflies, flowers, and faces. Students will have the opportunity to explore the concept of... interpreting a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional expression through color blending and shading. Much of the focus throughout the class and murrine process will be on the necessary skills of heating correctly and pulling with control. 21/25 of May 2018 from 9.00 to 21.00 (with 2 lunch breaks) 750,00 transport and lunches not included

Thought I should post a couple workshops for next year, both pre and post GAS Conference workshops. Should be loads of fun! 2018 GAS Pre-Conference Workshop which is slated to hold from 14th May to 16th May 2018 at the Abate Zanetti School of Glass, Murano-Venice, Italy. Three day Murrini class... The class will be starting with quick and simple projects such as ladybirds and shaded flower petals. Through "hands on"as well as demonstrations, the class will then move to simple shaded face components. These components will be assembled together to form more complex designs such as butterflies, flowers and faces. Much of the focus throughout the class and the murrini process will be on heating correctly and pulling with control, a very useful and necessary skill. Also a potential post conference workshop. Iconic Murrine This five day super intensive hands-on class will be project oriented. The project will be chosen by the class from several iconic Venice/Murano scenes such as the Rialto bridge, St Marco square, Grand Canal or Santa Maria church. Each student will be given sections to complete from the overall elaborate setting and these components will then be assembled together by Loren to form the overall scene. Each student will receive a polished slice suitable for setting or simply displaying. Class will be held in Studio Bubacco, the premier lampworking studio on Murano.
