Studio B would like to announce that we now offer Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion! Check out some of our FAQ's below! Q: What exactly is Microdermabrasion? A: Microdermabrasion is a form of mechanical exfoliation. This machine uses a quality motor and a stainless steel hollow handle, that suctions the skin and gently abrades dead cells with a carbonized diamond tip. ... Q: What can this do for my skin? A: Microdermabrasion gently exfoliates and refines the skin to reveal a smoother healthier complexion. It can aid in scar reduction, reduce fine lines, and treat hyperpigmentation. This modality can also enable your skin to better absorb product while revealing a healthy glow. Q: Is this treatment affordable? A: Treatments run $75 for 50 minutes. Light microdermabrasion can also be added onto any of our spa facials for an additional $45 to $50. We also offer series packages of three for $220 and up. So yes! It can be affordable.

Summer so hot! So you went to the beach and you put on your sunscreen and you STILL got a burn. Why?? Read on for the answers. 1. You didn't put on enough sunscreen. How much is enough? Think money! Apply a dollop the size of a quarter for arms and shoulders, half dollar for legs, Dime sized dollop for the face, and a nickel for the neck and chest. It's also easy to miss spots when applying our sunscreen, so ask for help when applying to shoulders and back. ... 2. You and your skin are dehydrated. It may sound unimportant, but water makes a big difference when it comes to preventing a burn. Make sure you are drinking your 8-10 glasses of water a day, especially when in the sun. Our skin can literally cook in the sun if it is dehydrated. So drink up! 3. You didn't reapply. A lot of people think that if they apply their sunscreen in the morning that's all they need to do. This is inaccurate, most sunscreens need to be reapplied after 80-90 minutes of play time in the sun. The rules are a bit different if you are using a chemical based sunscreen as opposed to a physical block. Products containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide are physical blocks, and don't break down as easily in the sun, however, reapplication should still be done regularly throughout the day for prevention. In the name of peeling skin, we hope you have a great summer!
