Strength through stability. Recruitment is the name of the game. By adding an unstable surface, smaller stabilization fibers need to work harder to perform the lift. The load will decrease but the work increases for the exercise. This, in turn, will create a stronger, more powerful and efficient deadlift.

Strength through stability. There are many ways to bench. My favorite is with bands and kettlebells. The instability works the smaller stabilization muscles allowing for greater developmental recruitment and creating a stronger bench press. More or less the wobbly makes it harder. Rep range can vary depending on the training cycle but in the end the unstable environment makes the bench more challenging through a full range of motion developing greater overall strength. ... I haven’t attempted the snatch test for 2 years so I wanted to see where I was. I recert in January so I wanted to get a baseline. There were a couple of no reps in there so discounting those, 74 total at 26kg (testing at 24kg). Frankly, it scares me a little that I was so far off but EVERYTHING was off from my break-up of reps to my breathing. I will tighten up the screw and should be more than ready to go by the end of January.
