We are so happy for these clients! Their story is an important one to share. These buyers almost made a very common mistake of working directly with the listing agent. Why is it a mistake? Read on and we'll tell you! Many believe that by working directly with the Listing Agent you'll save money because the seller won't have to pay Buyer Agent Fees. The unfortunate truth is that entering a contract with no representation can actually cost you more money when it is all said a...nd done. By working with the same person who represents the sellers you are effectively giving up your right to fair representation. It'd be like going to court and asking to borrow the person who is suing you's attorney. When it comes time to negotiate repairs, ask for closing costs, enforce closing day so you don't have to pay for a rate lock extension, etc. you want someone who will fight for YOU.
