THE BIZ: Just watched S5 Expanse (only 3 ep.s up so far) ... but what's facinating is the show has hit that late season phenom where the writers decide to split everyone up and let them run their own subplots for a while .. .while some over-arching threat (hopefully) drags them all back together by the end of the season. The danger, of course is that they all stay fragmented and apart for too many episodes and the season loses steam and dramatic tension as four or five storylines compete for our attention. This is amazingly common in shows that last past season three. Love the show, so very curious to see how the writers handle this going deeper into S5 (of all the subplots here the one that is by far the best is Amos!!!!). :) My 2 cents...

I'm launching a new video channel on YouTube later this year ... Here's a teaser :)
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: I need three writers interested in working on their loglines (book or script) using my logline process. I want to video our session (up to 40 mins) which will be recorded. You'll have to sign a release of image/voice because session will be used or an online course I'm doing for logline development. If you're interested email me at [email protected]. It will be a 1:1 session where we work through my process and take your premise idea and turn it into a great logline. Will do sessions in Oct sometime. Put LOGLINE in the subject line of email.
