Great facilities, great events. Happy #WorldTourismDay here’s to some wonderful events and welcoming our sports tourism visitors to town again!

Just a few months ago, Stockton was lucky enough to host the 2019 NCAA Men's Water Polo National Championship. One of the last major events pre-pandemic. The Sports Foundation looks forward to hosting more events in town once everything is safe to do so.

Did you know - Stockton hosted the Amgen Tour of California 2 years in a row in 2018 & 2019. This international event not only generated a direct economic impact to the city by bringing out of town visitors to Stockton, it generated millions of media impressions giving the world a positive view of our city. Youth sports normally keep the facilities in Stockton busy almost every weekend of the year, bringing in millions of dollars to Stockton's economy. Once it is safe to do so, we will work to ensure our facilities are full of kids playing the sports they love. Follow our page for more updates.

Collegiate sports are a huge economic boom for Stockton. In March of 2017 Stockton hosted the NCAA Women's Basketball Regional, which brought over 1.5 million to the city as well as national exposure on TV. While we hope to get more NCAA events awarded to us, we will work on variety of other events as well.
