We miss you! The Bob Hope Theatre (FOX California), home to our Friends Of The Fox's Classic Movie Series, remains closed. We will provide an update as soon as we know more. Until then, we do not want the theatre's closure to stop us from sharing with you here. For those that may have heard about water issues at THE BOB HOPE THEATRE last night, home to the Friends Of The Fox's Classic Movie Series, as seen in this photo taken by Kevin Shawver, we have just received this email: "The Bob Hope Theatre did not flood last night, Cal Water did have an issue however it was exterior of the Theatre. Here's a recently discovered (now historical!) photo of "young" Dave Moreno, who installed the Robert Morton theatre organ at the FOX in Stockton 20 years ago and is our current house organist. Of interest is that the photo was taken in Sacramento at the long-gone Carl Greer Inn. It is THE VERY SAME organ and console that you see and hear at the FOX during our classic movie series, seen here in its previous and 2nd home. It was originally built and installed for its first location in 1928, the FOX Theatre in Seattle. Dave Moreno has had a long association with our prized theatre organ of the FOX. We can't wait to be able to let you hear it again, when the City of Stockton may re-open the theatre at some date in the future.

Stay at Home Order, Stockton Arena, Bob Hope Theatre and Stockton Ballpark will remain closed until further notice. We are currently working with our event organizers to determine how to best manage the suspension of affected events and appreciate the public’s patience and understanding at this time. The health and public safety of our guests and employees remain a priority as we manage through these unprecedented times. Memberships expire on June 30, 2020. We hope that you will continue your membership by renewing for the 2020-2021 year. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 and our tax ID is 94-3277369. All memberships help us succeed in our mission: To offer an historic cinema experience in Stockton’s Crown Jewel, which includes helping us to make periodic organ and projection repairs. Every member strengthens our ability to continue the Classic Movie series. We continue to offer the very popular, Save My Seat plaques. These plaques can be purchased and placed on an available seat of your choice and will remain indefinitely. Earlier we brought you part of March's screen presentation that you could enjoy from home, so you could visit the Friends Of The Fox's Classic Movie Series from where you were at that moment. NOW, we bring you the sound of our great Robert Morton theatre pipe organ, played by our house organist, Dave Moreno. It's our way of bringing you a little of the FOX experience during the...se difficult times when we must all stay at home. Dave Moreno is always the first unit in our stage and screen show each month, playing the house in up to showtime.
