Stockton K9 Connection

K9 Neko participated in the Stanislaus County Sheriff K9 trial. There was many great teams from various surrounding cities. This was K9 Neko's first trial and brought in a 3rd place Patrol Novice and 4th place Patrol Protection.

K9 Karma and her handler Ofc. Zalunardo, attended the Commodore Stockton Skills School's end of the year fair. Students got to meet the K9 team and ask questions.

Today we were notified of the passing of retired K9 Major. We had the pleasure of working around K9 Major from 04/25/11 to 01/07/15. K9 Major assisted on many arrests and enjoyed working. Thoughts and prayers to his human family.

We would like to wish K9 Axel, a happy retirement. K9 Axel kept our city safe from 4/1/15 to 4/5/22. K9 Axel assisted in many arrests, narcotic cases, and won many awards at the K9 trials. We are sure Axel will enjoy his retirement. We would also like to congratulate Axel's handler, Ofc Boone on his promotion to Sergeant.

It is with bitter sweetness that we announce the retirement of K9 Oleander. He was not able to recover from his spinal injury, and as a result will be medically retired. He served Stockton for 1 year and 2 months, during which he had 2 apprehensions and over 20 felony arrests/suspect surrenders. Ole was one of more social K9’s and will miss coming out of the car to say hi to everyone, especially bad guys. He still has some recovery to do but he has recovered enough to walk, lightly play with his fur girlfriend and climb onto the couch to lay with his human sisters.
