I shared some tips on design and eco-minded textile buying and recycling with @nobhillgazette. Little text so I will briefly summarize: So many of us check the ingredients in the food we eat, but not the textiles we wear, touch, put on our kids...the items that literally surround us 24 hours a day. Time to change that!

When I first started designing my wallpaper collection 2 years ago, I knew that I wanted to partner with an environmental non-profit in a one-for-one business model. Today, as I'm peering out at a sky darkened by the many fires raging across my home state, the need to fight climate change could not be more evident. I am honored to launch my first-ever wallpaper collection in partnership with One Tree Planted. For each yard of wallpaper sold, the Vermont-based non-profit will... plant a tree in an effort to restore forests all over the world that have been damaged as a result of fires and floods. These newly planted trees help to clean our air and water, provide homes for wildlife, and improve our overall health and livelihoods. While there is still so much work to be done to combat climate change, I do hope that this partnership moves us closer to being conscious consumers who consider the purchases we make, and the small ways in which we can be part of the solution, each and every day. I hope you'll enjoy my new collection as much as I have enjoyed making it; the designs were inspired by nature and the hope of what our environment can and should be. Let us all continue taking the necessary steps to preserve our natural world and celebrate the art it continues to inspire.

This photo is from my first lookbook shoot in 2014 but this tunic is still my go to in this heat. I love silk because not only does it last, but its also a themoregulator so it keeps you cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cool. That’s hot! And cool!
