Why are home prices rising so high?

This was just announced on Wed Aug 14. It's extremely unfair to honest people who are trying to lower their payments!

This is a crock of horse manure. The Fed Govt just announced they are going to start taxing homeowners on their refi's. Any refinances (Fannie & Freddie) that fund in September and thereafter are subject to the new tax. Purchases are exempt, and FHA / VA loans are exempt. It's nothing but a cash grab. Fed Govt trying to cash in.

This is a good read. Often when I am PreQualifying folks for a home loan, we find there is work that needs to be done to get the credit scores up. Most often we see collection accounts from medical providers that the borrower was unaware of, that sort of thing. Best to check credit well before you plan to buy to make sure there are no surprises. We see them all the time!
