Be careful what information to believe!

It's been like a million years since I've posted on this page. Sorry, I got distracted, had a baby (now a toddler) and chase him around everywhere. He keeps me on my toes! During this COVID19 pandemic and the shelter in place order, I'm no longer behind the chair (for now) and have a little more time for social media. Since we're all spending a lot more time at home, and can't enjoy some time at the salon, I want to share some tips for keeping your locks luscious while st...aying in. Try a challenge of not using heat on your hair at all! Why bother blow drying, right? We're not going out to mingle anyways. Gently squeezing or blotting with a towel will help speed up the process, or microfiber towel is even faster. Brush your hair gently BEFORE getting into the shower to shampoo. Get any big tangles taken care of while the hair is dryhair is more susceptible to breakage when wet. With your fingers or a wide tooth comb or vent brush, gently brush through starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots. Of course you'll have some hairs in your brush either way because we're naturally shedding everyday, but less damage is done on dry hair. And, try using just your fingers to detangle your hair after the shower, again working from ends to roots. I like flipping my head over to detangle and applying a leave in conditioner, Enjoy Conditioning Spray or a reparative product like Olaplex No.6, then "finger brushing". You'll be kinder to any tangles, as you can really feel them. If using only your fingers isn't quite cutting it (no pun intended), a wide tooth comb or vent brush is best. If you're not already, I highly recommend doing a clarifying treatment or shampoo. Most of us have hard water, and that mineral buildup can make your hair dull, brittle, more prone to breakage and not to mention get in the way of and fade your color! This is why I clarify your hair at the shampoo bowl before applying your root touch up I use AllNutrient Clariphx and I also like Malibu Hard Water Wellness Treatment and Shampoo. Deep condition once a week, or more if you'd like. The Olaplex No. 3 is excellent for re-bonding damaged hairs and I like the Enjoy Mask, too! After shampoo and rinse, apply to mid shaft and focus on the ends. Leave on for a minimum of 10min. You could even just hang out all day with it in your hair and rinse, and shampoo and condition in the evening before bed. I hope you find this helpful. Stay healthy my friends!
