The Blackpool. Ray and @king_steady_beat at #thehongkongcafe circa 1993 Many ska shows happened at the cafe from 1993-1995. It was the "ska" joint to be at. Word quickly spread about our shows, soon acts from the East Coast and midwest started using the HK cafe as an anchor date for their tours. I remember @chrismurraymusic rolling in and asking about Ocean 11, we let him in. @vic_ruggiero strolled in on a Saturday night and we chatted it up. We let him in as long as we had 1st dibs on @theslackersband when they came out. Slackers finally made it out west and played at Rough and Tough. #goodtimes
