Wishing you a happy Valentine’s Day Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love.... Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning, that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. -St. Francis of Assisi #happyvalentinesday#valentines2021

On this day, a year ago, Fr. Bob a chaplain at St. Camillus for 21 years suddenly died. He had just celebrated his 78 birthday and his 50th anniversary in the priesthood. He was also a member of the Vincentian community. He lived there at the De Paul retreat center at Montebello. Today we had two of his cousins as well as St. Camillus team gather to celebrate his memory and share his favorite donuts (apple fritters). May you continue to inspire us #inlovingmemory #frbob #friend #chaplain #priest #deathanniversary #prayer #stcamillus

Fr. Chris Ponnet, of St. Camillus Center for Spiritual Care, was recently recognized by U.S. News and World Report as a Hospital Hero, an honor that salutes health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis. Read more on his work in the article. #USNHospitalHeroes #BestHospitals "As he gently renders comfort to dying COVID-19 patients at LAC+USC Medical Center, the Rev. Chris Ponnet is on high alert, taking mental notes of every detail, for the benefit of the living. 'My role is to be a bridge between the family and the patient,' Ponnet says. 'I want to capture as much of what is happening in the room as possible, to report to the family. Did their loved one say any last words, did they mouth the 'Our Father' prayer or respond by grabbing my hand?'"

Ok, I found my words. Tonight: Grieve like crazy. Have a cocktail. Take a walk. Weep and wail. Get it out of your system. Tomorrow: Fight like hell. ... Don’t waste your time posting on FB or texting like-minded friends. Get organized. Target candidates in vulnerable Republican senatorial races or those who just hate Trump. CALL THEIR OFFICES ON THE PHONE. Call them every day. Say (as politely as you can) that you request that the senate not confirm another supreme court nominee until after the next president is sworn in on January 20, 2021. Reports say that Lisa Murkowski has already stated she WILL NOT vote for a new supreme court justice until after the next president is in office. Call her! Lisa Murkowski: (202) 224-6665 (Hates Trump) Mitt Romney: (202) 224-5251 (Hates Trump) Susan Collins: (202) 224-2523 (Is going to lose anyway so should hate Trump) Martha McSally: (202) 224-2235 (Vulnerable) Cory Gardner: (202) 224-5941 (Vulnerable) We have to have FOUR Republican senators who will vote against in order to save the supreme court. Don’t waste your energy complaining to McConnell. Don’t try to reason with him (but you said in 2016) that is a waste of energy. And give a shit-ton of money to every senate candidate we need to win an election and stay in office: John Hickenlooper in Colorado: https://hickenlooper.com/ Mark Kelly in Arizona: https://markkelly.com/ Sara Gideon in Maine: https://saragideon.com/ Cal Cunningham in North Carolina: https://www.calfornc.com/
I have been working at Angel Interfaith Network for the last 18 years and continued my work as an artist. I wanted to bring as feeling of hope during this time... of the COVID pandemic as the patients we serve at LAC+USC Medical Center have a greater need of support. Most times we are the last resort of assistance when they don't enough for their rent, food or utilities. I have gathered these artists who pray in their way and give voice to the voiceless and share their heart with you in their performance. Please pass the word on to make this event a success. One world! One Heart! One Love! See more
Please share and post our upcoming Tardeada event. The volunteers at Angel Interfaith need to raise more money to help the patients and families at LAC+USC Med Center. We assist them with money for rent, utilities and food. Thank you for making a tax deductible donation today.
