And the rainy day has us feeling pensive. I’m reflecting on this time of year and what it all means. Three years ago we survived a car accident, when I was 8 months pregnant with her. The truck smashed into my drivers side door, smashing it in, just inches away from my belly. So I’m ...extra patient with her, because she endured a lot before she even came earthside. A major key to my healing & mental health has involved #cannabis ! As a mama, birthworker, & entrepreneur who delves into scientific research for some of my work- this , although legal in my region, thank God, still involves much stigma! Hey Y’awl, my Great grandfather & his 12 siblings left Mississippi & headed up North to the Chi in the 30’s. They found major success in business, with many BBQ houses, grocery stores, cabarets, & one of the uncles even founded the first Black Bank in Chicago, Seaway National. The daughters are of course keeping the family BBQ business alive and I wanted to share a really good product @realmumbosauce BBQ sauces! Grand Rising, It’s my favorite day of the week, Sunday! So I’m Popping’ in to say hey and I’m planning (thinking ) about doing a live this week to share some #praisereports, because I’m preparing for my epic birthday!!! Yes, it’s a holiday for me! This year has been extraordinary, but the last few years prepared and fortified me for this very moment! That’s why I’m inspired to celebrate myself with the deepest intentions like never before! It’s my season and I’m celebratin...g everything that I’ve successfully turned from what seemed to be the worst of the worst to the absolute best! I’m celebrating all that I’ve successfully let go and all that I’ve gained! From new life to divorce, sad and depressed, Shame and guilt to grounded, healthy, healed, sexy af & prosperous! I’m super grateful for this time to slow down and go through the fire that is life! It sure did burn! I felt it all and kept it pushing! The haters, the gossip let’s, the naysayers! But none were more powerful than the judge and voices in my own head! Acceptance and Triggering and glimmering through as my mentor says, was and is key! Earlier this year I completed a fellowship through channel black centering storytelling and media for black black mothers. My capstone project for this year long journey originally with that to be a resource guide to my community for parents and birthing people. I consider myself to be a resource powerhouse and I wanted to share my wealth of knowledge. So the resource guide became a podcast!
