On Tuesday, February 9th Council Member Ramirez, City Manager James A. Box and Associate Planner/Economic Development Coordinator Rebecca M. Pennington conducted two business visitations. In an effort to reach out to the existing business community, City representatives meet with Chuck Wade, General Manager of ExpressTees.com, a custom screen printing and embroidery business located at 7940 Main Street and Deborah Reynolds, Owner of SugarMama, a full service skin care center located at 12362 Beach Boulevard, Suite 19. Both businesses gave a tour of their facilities and provided staff the opportunity to inform them on the various City programs and resources available. Business visitations will be conducted on a monthly basis.

Vamos a jugar! Let’s play! Children are immersed in the Spanish language via a unique style of storytelling, music and movement, games, role-play, and art. Classroom activities redesigned to gently and creatively nurture growth in language skills for all levels, from newcomers to heritage speakers alike. Home support materials are integrated with classroom activities and provide rich opportunities for Spanish immersion in the car, at home, and while out and about. Parent participation is required. The Business Luncheon Networking Mixer had a great turnout with over 50 Business Owners in attendance. The mixer took place at the new Stanton location of Kim’s Piano at 10200 Beach Boulevard. Kims Piano is a family owned business that has become one of the most well known piano retailers in California. Kim’s Piano was able to show its great products and services, and local business owners were able to get to know each other. The speaker for this event was the Orange County D...istrict Attorney, Tony Rackauckas. Mr. Rackauckas gave a passionate and informative speech about his department’s efforts to combat human trafficking and gang violence. We would like to give a big thank you to Kim’s Piano, The District Attorney’s office, and all of the attendees of this event! The Stanton Business Alliance Luncheon Networking Mixer on Tuesday, August 25th was a success. The Business Alliance heard from Alan Dolch, local business owner and Chairman of the West Orange County Regional Chamber of Commerce and David Harris, Vice Chair Outreach with SCORE Orange County, a nonprofit with volunteer counselors from the business community who mentor small business owners.
