The current situation in Armenia urges us to come together, to be aware of what is happening and be part of this crucial time when our Homeland needs our help. On Sunday October 4, 2020 after Divine Liturgy, we will conduct a Requiem Service (Hokehankist) for souls of our soldiers who were killed during recent military actions in Artsakh. Dear faithful: Our blessings and love from St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church of Santa Clarita. We hope you are all doing well. On Sunday, September 13th we will be celebrating Holy Cross, one of the major feasts of the Armenian Apostolic Church. It is the most important feast among the feasts dedicated to the Holy Cross, as it is dedicated to the history of the return of the Holy Cross from imprisonment, its elevation and glorification.... For Christians the Cross is God’s power and strength and pride of all prides, on which Christ’s innocent blood was shed. By means of the Cross Jesus proved His love towards mankind, and the Cross became for us the symbol of hope, love and saving. Immediately following church services a luncheon sponsored by the St. Sarkis Ladies Society will be served in to-go bowls. Anyone who wishes to eat on the church property, we will have some tables and chairs set up in the parking lot so people can enjoy their meal there. Come and join us with your participation and prayers for the Divine Liturgy. God bless you all. . : 13- : , , : , , : , , : ` , , (parking lot): : :

Please take a moment to read this note from our parish priest Father Zaven Markosyan: ----------------- Dear faithful: We hope all our parishioners are doing well. Our prayers go out to those who have been affected by the virus and we pray for those who may have lost loved ones. May God receive their souls in peace.... The current situation has changed our lives and each and every time it motivates us to take an appropriate action. We don’t know with what other surprises we will be faced with and how it will challenge us in our daily lives. These uncertain times have interfered with how we live life. We share your thoughts and anxiety you’ve been experiencing within this period. It’s important for all of us to stay in prayer which helps us to strengthen our spiritual life and to continue to be in communication with our Almighty God. Also, as you may be aware, our homeland is currently facing many hardships. The current situation in Armenia shakes the lives of our children, sisters, and brothers which also brings anxiety to all Armenians around the world. Each and every person’s support can have a vital significance today for our people in Armenia. With the guidance and instructions of our Diocese, we do our best to organize our church life the best way which will allow us to bring spiritual and physical benefits to our faithful people and community. On Sunday, July 26, 2020, again we will conduct our Divine Liturgy outdoors at 10:30 am. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines during church services. May God preserve our children, sisters, and brothers and the all world. Let’s pray together: Guard us, O Christ our God, under the shadow of Your holy and precious cross in peace. Deliver us from enemies visible and invisible. Make us worthy to give thanks to You and to glorify You with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever. Amen. - Father Zaven Markosyan
