. . . . , Rev. Fr. Manouk Markarian, pastor of St. John Garabed Armenian Church of Hollywood offers his words of gratitude and encouragement to the faithful and supporters of the church.

I am writing on behalf of the parishioners of the St. John Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church in Hollywood. It has been 4 years as we are waiting for the rebuild...ing of our dear church, the place that united our community, strengthened our spirit and provided us with guidance and support in the times of need and uncertainty. St. John Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church played a vital role in our lives and was very important for all generations of our community. Our seniors found comfort and strength in its walls and our young generation was taught Christian values, the right way to live and the proper choices to make, which is crucial for the wellbeing of our society. In happiness and in sorrow people were going to the church to find support that gave us strength to live and go on. The pastor of the church, Ter Manuk, not only supported the believers in learning and growing their faith, but also provided counseling, teaching, and encouragement to parishioners. His wisdom, compassion, inspiration and excellent leadership abilities helped the believers to strengthen their faith and challenged them to grow beyond themselves. Ter Manuk’s ability to find the right and supporting words in the toughest life situations helped people to live in faith and move forward. The fact that it is taking so long to rebuild St. John Garabed Church affects our community. We are left without a place where our community used to gather to pray, take care of each other, and truly have fellowship with one another. Especially during these unprecedented times of pandemic, we feel how important and vital this church is for us. We need a place where we can unite, strengthen and grow spiritually. It is our great hope that the St. John Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church in Hollywood will be rebuilt soon, as it plays a vital role in the spiritual health of our community and its moral wellbeing. We pray that the right people will find the right ways to help, and the church will finally be rebuilt to glorify God.
