Today is the feast day of St. Martin de Porres. He is the patron saint of mixed-race persons, those seeking racial and social justice, and health care workers. St. Martin is a model of charity and forgiveness. The discrimination he faced did not stop him from giving himself without reservation to the sick and the suffering. St. Martin de Porres, pray for us.

Join St. Bonaventure and other members of the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa for nightly interfaith prayers for our country this week. Each evening will be hosted by leaders from different congregations from around the county.
