Giving HUGE thanks to John McEntagart and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 551, Sally Tomatoes, Sonoma County DSA, and Sonoma County Sheriffs Office for donating and coordinating the delivery of 50 Thanksgiving meals to Santa Rosa Junior College foster youth and their families. This has been an especially difficult year, and the generous gifts of food, time, and love are especially appreciated!

At the start of summer we are usually gathered together at the Annual President's Address to the Community Luncheon for a presentation on the state of the College. Though we were unable to gather in person as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we still wanted to share an update on the College and recognize the unwavering support of our Sonoma County community. In this short video message, you will learn how we have been able to pivot to support our students and each other in new and different ways. Special thanks to our loyal supporters who stepped up to sponsor this video and help our students! Please consider joining these community leaders in giving to the SRJC Crisis Response Fund: https://santarosajc.ejoinme.org/crisisfund.

A huge thank you to Wild Oak Saddle Club members and General Manager Lori Darling for generously donating 100 hot cooked dinners to Santa Rosa Junior College students for four weeks. Many of our students already faced food insecurity and the pandemic has only worsened their situation. The SRJC Foundation staff are distributing the dinners to students who are homeless and/or food insecure helping them fill their stomachs while they study for classes. Along with hot meals, these students receive boxes of fresh produce, bread, dairy and non-perishable pantry goods from the Redwood Empire Food Bank, continuing through the end of May. We are grateful to our community members and community partners for helping SRJC students stay focused on their classes so they can complete the semester strong!

Thank you to The John Jordan Foundation for your recent gift to support Santa Rosa Junior College ESL (English as a Second Language) scholarships for 25 deserving students! Our students are scared and worried right now about how they will make it through this crisis and support from community members like John Jordan gives them the hope to keep persevering. Thank you for believing in our students! (Pictured below: 2019-2020 John Jordan Foundation ESL Scholarship recipients and Executive Director Lisa Wittke Schaffner during a scholarship reception.)
