Spreading the Love of Jesus Ministry truly began through a Christmas miracle that happened to 9 year old me. An individual went out of their way to bless my family on Christmas Day. I remember that year like it was just yesterday. Because my mother had to work on Christmas Day, she took us along to cater her boss's Christmas party. I remember my sister and I glancing at their guests eating dinner as we experienced hunger pain. We didn’t have any food at home or enough fun...ds for groceries. When we got back home, in front of our apartment door sat two huge black bags. My mom was very surprised as she opened to see what the bags contained. Tears immediately ran down her eyes knowing that God heard her prayers. I still get very emotional sharing my story. One bag had lots of food and the other bag had lots of Christmas presents. I knew then that God was real and that He heard our prayers. I remember telling Him Jesus, one day I want to do the same. I promise you. I want to bless people the way these people blessed us. Till this very day, I don't know who blessed us that year. Because of their empathetic hearts they planted a ministry within my heart without knowing. Imagine how many other ministries and organizations are waiting out there to be planted in the hearts of those we serve? Our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive is here! This year we will safely deliver Thanksgiving Boxes to families and warm Thanksgiving dinners to people with disabilities or in hospice care. We are putting together boxes containing all the traditional Thanksgiving trimmings, which are then delivered to families in need to prepare at home. This year we are delivering food boxes on November 21st, 2020 at 10am. ... ****If you or anyone you know needs groceries please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. The next time you go grocery shopping, take along this simple list and pick up as many of the following items as you can. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are limiting in-person donations and are doing our food drive primarily online but we are still accepting food donations. Your contributions will still go towards the same cause that we have every year: providing families in need with food during the holidays.
