***Update 7/13: One of the first things we tell people who have lost their pups is to walk the neighborhood and knock on neighbor's doors. Often times dogs who ...usually don't bolt are near by. This was the case for these two escapees! Their owners set out on foot and found them just a short distance away, safe and well cared for. Thank you to their finder, Casey for taking great care of them. FOUND * Frenchie & Bully * Males * Sonoma, CA Do you know who we belong to? These cuties were found in Sonoma today, 7/13 near Cottonwood/Madison. They are secured by the finder and she will hang on to them for a little while longer before having the PD pick them up. Sunday Feb 22, 10 - 11:30 AM Beginning Barn Hunt Class Start your barn hunting dog off right! In this class we will play games with rats to teach dogs how to play the barn hunt game. We will emphasize team building so that handlers know when their dog finds a rat. We will play hide & seek games to build skills and confidence. Sport Dog Center is adding some straw bales so that novice dogs can practice in a small tunnel. Ideal class for dogs with little or no experience i...n barn hunt. 90 minutes, limited to 10 dogs. The class will be held indoors at the Sport Dog Center, Sunday Feb 22nd from 10-11:30 AM. $30 per dog/handler team. Sunday Feb 22, 12 - 1:30 PM Barn Hunt Practice for Novice and Beyond This class is for continuing barn hunt students, and teams training for competition. We will work on reading our dog's indications, and building our dog's confidence in showing us the rat. We'll practice climbing, a novice tunnel, and find rats on course. Great preparation for novice teams, and fun practice for advanced teams getting ready for the next barn hunt trial. 90 minutes, limited to 10 dogs.
