Alana Duvernay or Lana LosAngeles is an artist, activist and entrepreneur born and bred in Los Angeles and she is our Karen Santos for #Spit17. A theatre artist, poet, dancer, designer, and painter by trade, Alana is most passionate about sharing works with her audience and places a priority on community conscience endeavors. Originally joining the #SpitCrew in 2015 during the #HollywoodFringeFestival this is her third SP!T Season and she couldn't be more excited to share the... stage with the incredibly talented #ensemble. Recent credits include Don't Talk About It, SP!T About It and the Eastside Queers Stories Festival both with @casa0101theatre, as well as having participated in production for a number of short films such as Fault of the Father and Strength both completed last season. Off the stage, Alana is currently writing a new book entitled Poetic Portraits Vol. I and working on completing new paintings soon to be added to her #shop. Tommy Nguyen is our Angel Rudman for #Spit17 and is an Oakland California Native, finishing his Theatre performance degree at Cal State Long Beach this semester. His recent performances include She Kills Monster, the Bubbly Black Girl Sheds her Chameleon Skin, and The Duchess of Malfi. He specializes in Contemporary Comedy/Drama, Improv, South African Traditional Dance, and works as a Freelance Photographer/Videographer.
