https://www.nbcnews.com//chuck-yeager-u-s-air-force-office I actually got to meet Gen. Yeager a couple times years ago. He'd pop unannounced into the bookstore (when he was in the area fishing I presume) to see if we had his book on the shelf, which he'd sign. In addition to all his accomplishments, a genuinely nice man.

Holiday Info at Spellbinder, Volume 1! - https://mailchi.mp/118/holiday-info-at-spellbinder-volume-1 (yes, it's pretty much the same as our regular post ... but, ya know, just in case you didn't see it before)

Hello friends, I'm happy to announce that this year we are grateful to be partnering with CASA of the Eastern Sierra to help with their Giving Tree. We're looking for a few good elves to make Christmas merry for local children in the foster care system! Pick a bulb from the tree, shop for that child, and return your unwrapped gift and bulb to the bookstore by 12/15. Any gifts for this program purchased at Spellbinder get 20% off list price. We'll be contributing a new book for every child on the list, and we know that many in the community will have it in their hearts to help, too!

**Community Input Requested!!** Hey folks, if you have time this week, PLEASE stop by to see Elaine Kabala (she's a former bookseller here at Spellbinder, btw, but currently advocating and working for a better downtown Bishop from the Planning Department) in the old gallery space next to the Meat House this week. She's there through Friday from 10-2 each day, with info and seeking feedback on a cool potential beautification project that would be really great for us! There is grant money out there for the project, but she needs to be able to go back to the city council and show community interest for them to get behind it and approve it. Thanks!!
