Make it a goal to Create every day this week. Getting creative is a great way to reduce stress, keep your immune system running well, and stay focused and productive during this time. As solo-preneurs and entrepreneurs, we definitely know how to get creative! Pick something artistic, like crafting, drawing or writing, or focus on something more technical or project based, such as repairing a device, writing a blog for your business, or tackling a home improvement proj...ect. However you decide to apply your creativity, your mind and body will thank you for it......#art #create #inspire #creative #productive #motivation #productivity #downtown #coworking #workfromanywhere #digitalnomad #entrepreneur #business #startup #hustle #office #mygrind #dailygrind #company #computer #biz #working #desk #ilovemyjob #workspace #homeoffice #officespace #dowhatyoulove #space455 #sanpedro See more

We are excited to introduce you to one of our first members, Ryan S. Blaney, Esquire, and his law firm Bolimini International. Ryan took a leap of faith about 2 years ago and started his own law firm in his hometown of San Pedro. Bolimini Intl. works with start ups, small businesses and technology firms to protect their brands and their clients. Ryan is also a committed environmentalist, and works heavily in the Blue Tech industry in San Pedro and elsewhere. When he's not bus...y running Bolimini Intl., Ryan can be found swimming, checking out a new wine bar, or spending some quality time with his husband Nathan and their fuzzie little doggie side-kick, Mr. Jenkins. You can learn more about Ryan, Bolimin Intl. and Mr. Jenkins at @bolimini_intl, @ryan.s.blaney and @mister_jenkins_in_la . . . . . #lawyerup #technologylaw #localbusiness #coworking #workfromanywhere #digitalnomad #entrepreneur #business #startup #hustle #entrepreneurlife #successful #businessowner #mygrind #dailygrind #company #computer #biz #working #desk #ilovemyjob #workspace #homeoffice #officespace #dowhatyoulove #space455 #sanpedro @sujancreative See more

The COVID-19 Pandemic and subsequent self-quarantine have made video technology a prime resource for most of our businesses. Video is helping us stay connected and stay productive in ways that would not have been possible a decade ago. There are, however, many nuances to making sure that you are well seen and well heard on your video communications. We’ve all had an experience with that one team member or client who is difficult to watch or hear on a video conference, m...aking the entire endeavor laborious for everyone. Here are our top 4 tips to help make your video conferencing experience great - for you, and for those watching you: Background - Do you want plain and distraction-free, or are you looking to add a little more of an, About Me, feel to the call? Whatever vibe you’re going with, make sure you are deliberate about your background. A plain wall or framed photo always works, but a strategically-placed plant and some books will work, as well. Things to avoid are excessive backlighting (such as a large window behind you or a very bright lamp), and any sort of clutter. Angle - What angle are your viewers going to see you from? Straight-on angles or those that are looking slightly down on you are preferable to low angles. Give yourself equal room on both sides of your body, and frame yourself from the bust up. Audio - Investing in a headset is usually the best bet for audio. That said, most of us can get away with our computer or phone mic. Ambience is everything, so try to place yourself in a smaller space with less chance of echo. Lighting - Light yourself from the sides or from the front. Avoid mixing lighting sources, such as warm light from a lamp and cool light from a window. If you are using a cell phone for video calls, cell phone ring lights are a good way to make sure your face is evenly illuminated. Most of all, remember to have fun! Video conferencing is a lot more interactive and fun than voice calls, so don’t forget to enjoy the company of whoever is on the other end of your screen. See more

Work-From-Home life is new to a lot of us. We at Space455 provide work space that is ergonomically sound and healthy for our members to use during the workday. But what if you were unprepared for this situation? You might have a workspace at home that is less-than-adequate, or worse, harmful to your alignment and overall well-being. With major retailers only shipping essentials, it could take a long time to receive the items you need to set up an ergonomic home workstation.... We asked our friends at @newhealth.medical in San Pedro to give us some tips on how to keep our bodies functioning optimally while working at home. Most of these tips can be applied regardless of whether you work from home or out of a shared space. Try not to sit in one position for more than an hour. Set an alarm to get up from your desk every hour, then walk for 10 minutes, or sit for one hour and stand the next. Sitting on a medicine ball is better for the spine than sitting on a chair. If you do sit on a chair, add lumbar support. You can roll a towel up and put it between the chair and your low back. No sitting on any items that might be in your back pockets! Ice the low back for 10 minutes after 4 or more hours of sitting, and ice the neck and shoulders for 10 mins if on a computer more than 4 hours. Foam rolling is also great to do regularly if you have a foam roller. Drink lots and lots of water!!! See more
