It’s hard to believe that just about a year ago, we were having our final wrap and celebrating the graduation of Leadership L.A. 2019! Introducing our first Visionaries Awards honoree, Charlene Thomas! Charlene is the Chief Human Resources Officer at UPS and an alum of our Leadership L.A. program. Charlene has spearheaded HR initiatives at UPS to serve more than 528,000 employees worldwide. She also has a long history of serving her community by serving on the boards of Big Brothers and Sisters of Middle Tennessee, Orangewood Foundation in Orange County, CA, and on the executive board for Habitat for Humanity. As one program ends, another program begins! We launched the Riordan Leadership Institute Class 53 on Saturday. We are looking forward to getting to know these 33 leaders, who in the midst of these challenging times have made the commitment to improve their communities through nonprofit board service.
