More parking lot updates...
The SCT planter island removal project is under way, with the demolition of the east islands in progress. The next step, starting tomorrow at 5 AM, all of the center islands, 5 -14 (See attached diagram) will be blocked off to facilitate the cutting of the island curb. Each of the center islands will require blocking the 6 parking spaces surrounding the island. As the curb for each island is cut, and the prep work is completed, the surrounding parking spaces will be reopened... for parking once again. The plan is to start with islands 5 and 10 at 5 AM, and return theses spaces by 6 AM, following with islands 6 and 11, and then the remaining rows. Each row should take approximately 1 hour to cut the curb and complete the necessary prep work. The initial available parking spaces may not be as convenient, but spaces are available for parking, including the spaces located by islands 15 19. These spaces will be reopened in support of the work being performed on the center islands. As we continue to move forward with the parking lot project, we will encounter additional days where the parking spaces will become limited once again, and we will ask for your cooperation with the adjustments to accommodate your parking needs. We will continue to work towards minimizing the impact and keep you informed. Thank you for your support.
