Meet our Mandarin Minister Candidate Please come meet our candidate for Mandarin minister, Obed Zhang. He will preach at our English in-person outdoor service on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 10:00am. 3. Lent The 40 days before Easter is a time of reflection, confession and returning to God. Lent starts with Ash Wednesday on February 17. Stay tuned for more ways that Southbay will observe Lent and Easter. 4. Baptism or Membership If you are interested in being baptized or becoming a new member, please talk to one of the pastors or staff. The next membership class will be on February 28 and our baptism is scheduled at Eastertime. 5. Caring Workshop, October 10 The goal of this online workshop is to equip us to better care for the needs of our church community members during the time of shelter-in-place. Many folks are feeling isolated and lonely and this only increases as the days grow shorter and darker. Learn how to show care effect...ively and improve your connection with the church community. The speaker is Dr. Ralph Neighbour, leader of the Church Revitalization Initiative for the California Southern Baptist Convention. The workshop will be from 10am-12pm.
