I haven't lived in California for over a year and don't really make records anymore. When bands reach out to me, this is what I say: If you are in Southern California, you should be recording with Ryan William and Rollie Ulug. TTYN.
Reamping some To Each His Own guitars. Cassius is helping us pick some overdrives and checking tuning.
Mic'd this kick up with 9 mics. Insane sample coming soon. 22x36" total size. This thing sounds like Armageddon.
TONIGHT! Come out to The Whisky in Los Angeles, CA!

Our good friends in Dynasty just released this video for "Death Solution" which is the third single off of their record "Beyond Measure" that we did last year for Facedown Records. These guys work their butts off and go balls to the wall every night, I think the video really shows that with all of the live footage of the band. GIVE ME LIFE

One of the biggest projects to ever come through the studio starts in two days. Can you guess who it is?
Working on new Goliath stuff, heading to Europe for a week and then coming back to work on a record with Will Putney. Nonstop.
Everblack killing it the first week. If you haven't picked up a copy, please do! Also come record so you can break the billboard top 40 too! http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.aspx
A little over a month ago, Jeff and I spent a bunch of 16 hour days at the studio working on an EP that we think is going to help launch the careers of a group of awesome young guys. It was a stressful record and it was pretty sweaty locked up in the studio for those hours, but we came up with an awesome record and got to play a lot of Mario Bros. After we were done recording the record, these kids had the audacity to ask if they could shoot a music video in the studio; of c...ourse we obliged. If you're a fan of pop-punk or rock or music, whatever, I think you should really check this out. I love these guys like they're my little brothers and am excited to see the future unfold for them. They are also playing on the Ernie Ball stage at the Thursday Warped Tour show, so I highly suggest you check them out if you make it out to that. Big thanks to Justin Bernardez for his help on these sessions as well as Cassius who is definitely the coolest dog alive.
I don't usually talk about non studio stuff, but Jeff is showering with the door open. What a freak.
Tumblr, people. Go follow us at www.soundtemplestudio.com, we are going to be do posting a ton of updates as we get going on projects with SUCH A MESS, Seasons Change, Destruction of A King and many more. Probably some coverage of that new Misery Signals record when they come to STS to record gang vocals on their new record. We have a ton of exciting stuff coming up and can't wait to keep you all in the loop.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSoPRG3_ngI&feature=youtu.be Check out the first song off of The Black Dahlia Murder's "Everblack," Ryan Williams worked as an engineer and assisted on the mix. He is now booking bands for Spring and Summer.
Tomorrow, Jeff and I start working on the new Seasons Change EP. I am extremely excited to get started with those guys.
Had an awesome first day with SUCH A MESS. It's a really cool change of pace to be working on softer stuff. The drums sound insane. Guitars/Bass tomorrow!
