This farm is a blessing. Luke and his family are amazing people. True examples of what stepping up in times of need really mean. They have delicious dinners cooked by a local chef from the community on the farm once a month to help pay for the water bill Looking forward to those again when this is all over. Support local when you can. It doesn’t get any more local than your neighborhood organic farmer growing your food and in return feeding his own family. This is the community I want to be a part of. Very lucky to be in Oceanside, California.

To all of the beautiful Mothers out there that give SO much, love unconditionally, worry endlessly, and work hard to provide what you can for your families, Happy Mother’s Day to YOU. Thank you for instilling gratitude, forgiveness, and strength in all of us. I want to personally wish my mother, Sandra, a very Happy Mother’s Day. She is the most loving and caring person I know. Never have I ever heard my mother speak poorly of anyone. Always going out of her way to help other...s. I admire my mother tremendously for being incredibly selfless, thoughtful, and loving while also being strong and independent. You were my first role model and the best a woman could have. Thank you for teaching me how to be by being you I love you Mom. I miss you. Can’t wait to get a big hug from you!! In honor of this Mother’s Day, I’d like to encourage us all to be selfless and take some time to clean up our communities. It might not be our trash but it is our home. Every Sunday from today until June 7th, while distancing yourself socially, please take some time to pick up trash from our beautiful community. If you get a chance, post it and tag us. Last year, along with Maria from @reclaimedgoodness , I had the privilege of co-hosting a local event called ‘MAKE EVERYDAY EARTHDAY’ highlighting small, local businesses making efforts to reduce waste right here in San Diego County. Although we didn’t get to have this event in 2020, have no doubts we plan to make it bigger and... better in 2021!! Hello Refill Family I miss you. Hope all is well and you’re staying healthy. So many things are changing quickly, it feels strange to have to slow wayyyy down but also feels good to have this much needed time. After taking some time to rest up, strengthen my immune system, clean my apartment, organize, and of course, focus on me I was starting to lose track of which day it was when I realized I need to replenish some home essentials. I’m sure there’s a few of y...ou out there that need to replenish as well so here are some options to help fulfill your refilling needs. The shop will be open tomorrow from 11am - 4pm to our refill family and continue efforts to reduce plastic waste. Of course I’ll be cleaning and sanitizing the shop before during and after these hours. Please come by yourself to help maintain social distancing regulations. Hello Maybe this isn’t the best time to introduce myself but thanks to the quarantine, I have time. My name is Marissa. This picture was taken last year but it’s the last picture I have of myself ... With the help of family and friends, I am the proud owner of Sonora Refillery. Once a farmers market booth, Sonora Refillery is now a small brick and mortar in Oceanside, California, helping reduce plastic waste in my community We’ve been going strong for almost 2 years!! (3/31 ) Where has the time gone??! So...flash to today...we’ve had to make some adjustments and close temporarily but hey, we all needed this break (I really did). I know we are going to pull through this, get this thing quarantined so we can protect those with immune systems susceptible to these types of viruses and of course take the overwhelming pressure off our medical friends and family. They are truly heros People are staying inside and limiting contact, grocers are opening early for seniors, Nextdoor posts consist of helpful people offering to pick up things for the elderly, and people are offering encouraging words and ideas for passing the time. Our locals are stepping up & supporting our community proper Our customers are all doing the right things. Staying home, washing their hands, and making unexpected plans to have their children home for longer than Spring break (I’m so sorry) Oh man, was this all unexpected But hey, we can adapt and we are. Let’s take this time to do us. I actually feel good about this little break in my life. No where I have to be, no urgent things to get done. I’m relaxing, stretching, cleaning, cooking, making new products, and researching new alternatives. I’m considering this time my mini mental vacation. If I see, hear, or read anything worth sharing, I will in stories. Looking forward to re-opening and celebrating the moment we all got through this and realized what was really important. If this is showing me anything, it’s how precious our world is and how interconnected we all are. How much power one of us has to spread .....a message?....
