Sonora Lions Club

For our first time doing a drive-through dinner fundraiser, our Oktoberfest Dinner was pretty successful. The final numbers aren't all in yet, but we believe we did fairly well. Here are a few pictures from the set-up and beginning of the event.

Attention! Achtung! It's Oktoberfest time in Sonora! The Sonora Lions Club is hosting a drive through dinner fundraiser on Saturday, October 10th, from 12 noon to 5 pm at the Senior Center. Call the numbers on the flyer to reserve your dinners. Hope to see you all there, Ja?!

Have old eyeglasses you don't use anymore? Sunglasses? They don't even have to be prescription. Over-the-counter glasses are all used too! If you are thinking of just throwing away those old eyeglasses, why not consider donating them to your local Lions Club? The Sonora Lions club has several places around town where you can drop them off. There is a box in front of the Walmart Optical Store, a big yellow "mailbox" in front of the Senior Center on Greenley Rd., Sierra Vista Optical, or many other eye doctors' offices around town. When you get your eyes examined, ask your doctor if they collect eyeglasses for the Lions Club. If they don't already, ask them to please start doing so!
