HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! We had such a great time last Saturday, our last market of the year. So much fun to be had with Trick or Treat bags, games, costumes and more. The best part is, we’ll be making this an annual event on the last market of the year! ... For all who participated in the candy corn counting guess, thank you so much for your entries. There were 338 candy corns in the vase, I know I was surprised myself. Thank you for your continued patronage and we look forward to next year! August 1st 10:30am-12pm The Master Gardeners of Tuolumne County want to invite you to their virtual: Open Garden Day Presentation On Preserving your Harvest. During the hour and a half presentation, they’ll explain and demonstrate the basics of safely harvesting, freezing, dehydrating and canning your produce.

Hawk 'n Fox Farm has an over abundance of tomatoes. Who told them them they could ripen all at the same time? 1/2 OFF a box of heirloom tomatoes.

Shiitake Mushrooms from Dambacher Family Farms. These beauties took 18 weeks to grow and they’re so worth it!!

It’s officially GRAPE season!! Only a few varieties of grapes were at Tyson Hill Farm last Saturday, but more to come in the following weeks. The one man show Tater will be livening up the market tomorrow morning.

We have a new farm gracing us at the market this year, Blue Mountain Farm out of Calaveras County. Beautiful flowers, assorted greens, vegetables and herbs. Cross our fingers , they’ll have eggs soon as well.

Support our local FFA and 4H Junior Livestock Exhibitors through the Motherlode Fair Virtual Livestock Auction. The auction will open at 3PM on Friday, July 3rd and end Sunday, July 5th. New vendor from Turlock will be coming to market tomorrow. Natures Loved Skin makes soaps, body scrubs, massage oil, beard oils and so much more. Christina enjoys gardening and uses many of her homegrown herbs, veggies and fruits in her handcrafted soaps and skincare.

Unfortunately our tamale vendor wasn’t able to come this morning but he’ll be here next week!! Support our local farmers and producers. We’re open till 11:30am.

New vendor starting tomorrow!! Oaxacan Tamales from Riverbank will be serving up banana leaf wrapped tamales from scratch. Vegetarian and Vegan tamales available too. Which ones will you try first?

Bon Appetit-Crepes, Croissants & More won’t be participating at the market this summer. They will however, continue to supply us with their delicious French pastures and crepes at their shop in the Junction Shopping Center next to Round Table Pizza. Thursday, Friday and Saturday 8am-2pm

Red Earth Farm will not be returning to the market this year but you can still support them through their online ordering system Veggies, Fruit and Flowers, oh my!!

Market year 2020 is about to commence. We’re all so happy to provide you with local & seasonal fruits and vegetables, delicious prepared foods and quality artisan products. We have preparations in place to provide you and our vendors a safe environment to shop at. Here’s what you can expect, until further notice, at this years market. There will be no music or sit down eating areas until further notice. We ask you to enjoy your delicious treats at home or as your shopping.... Please practice 6ft social distancing. Vendor booths will be spread out and some arranged differently. This is to prevent crowding and lines. There will be 6ft gaps between each vendor booth, please refrain from walking in these gaps. There will be no sampling of any kind. Customer use of hand sanitizer will be placed at vendor booths as well as a hand washing station at the bathroom. Please NO DOGS at the market. We’ll be seeing you bright and early tomorrow morning!

Valenta Blueberry Farm also known as The Blueberry Man will not be selling his blueberries at the Sonora Farmers Market this year. Not to worry though, he’ll have a booth Friday’s from 4pm-dusk at Peaceful Valley Farmers Market in East Sonora. Remember, he sells out fast, so come down early to get your blueberry fixings. Sonora Farmers Market starts in 2 weeks, May 30th from 7:30am-11:30am.

Peaceful Valley Farmers Market starts tomorrow in East Sonora from 4-8pm.

This was a hard decision to make, but we’ve decided to postpone the opening date of the market by two weeks. We hope by this time the stay at home order will be lifted and no restrictions will be imposed at the market. Either way, we will open May 30th. Many of the vendors who sell at the Sonora Farmers Market have brick and mortar shops that can still be supported at this time such as: Bon apppétit. Columbia Kate's Teahouse... Rosas Bakery Oakdale Cheese & Specialties Cover's Apple Ranch Schnoogs Cafe A few of our local farmers are providing delivery of weekly boxes of produce to there CSA memebers, Hawk 'n Fox Farm and Blue Oak Farm. Peaceful Valley Farmers Market in East Sonora, is set to open on May 1st for there second year. They’re open Friday evenings, 4pm to dusk. Additionally, the indoor farmers market in Columbia, Mountain People Organics/Columbia Farmory is open year around on Wednesday and Saturday. Many vendors who sell at both of these markets sell at the Sonora Farmers Market as well.
