Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) is tomorrow, September 26th! For the past few years, we have helped to put on a great event at KSTS with the EAA’s Young Eagles (that gives free airplane rides to kids!), the Pacific Coast Air Museum aircraft climb-aboards, career speakers, and other exhibitors and demonstrations. This year, Women in Aviation, International has put together a great app for GIAD available starting tomorrow. It’s free and available anytime. 10 YEARS!!!! Today marks 10 years since Josh and Julia joined the Sonoma Jet Center team here at KSTS. We’ve grown with the airport and tripled the size of our team, facilities and fuel gallons! It’s been tons of fun! There are thousands of moments, friends, co-workers, alumni, partners, events, pilots, flight crews, cool aircraft, airshows, porch bbqs, and more we wish we could share. Here are a few highlights from the last 10 years!!! ... Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Sonoma Jet Center’s success and made Sonoma Jet a delightful place. We can’t wait to see what the next ten years will bring!

Sonoma Jet Center welcomed 6 Apache helicopters from Oregon this week. Thank you to the 4th Squadron 6th U.S Cavalry 16th Aviation Brigade for your service!

Dear Friends: In light of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s Order to stay at home, I am writing to confirm that as part of a federal critical infrastructure sector, Carlsbad Jet Center and Sonoma Jet Center remain open for business and ready to serve our customers, employees and the community. We are committed to maintaining staffing levels sufficient to keep all areas of our b...usiness operational. Of course, as the situation regarding COVID-19 is very fluid, we will work hard to keep you updated regarding any changes to the status of our FBOs or the airports where we operate. We are taking responsible steps to reduce the likelihood of disease transmission at our FBOs. We request that everyone visiting our facility to please follow CDC-recommended best practices to prevent disease transmission. Another great week at the NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers conference in Charlotte! It was a beautiful setup representing the best of Sonoma Jet Center and Carlsbad Jet Center. Attendees joined us in our booth to write Carlsbad and Wine Country postcards to friends and coworkers that we actually put in the mail. It’s always wonderful to see our aviation-friends, partner-friends and customer-friends at these events!
