Message to Sonoma County Republicans On Thursday, October 22, I visited the Sonoma County Registrar’s Office at 435 Fiscal Drive. I had a long conversation with Kamari Marchbank. He showed me what is happening at the Registrar’s office. There is a drop off in the front of the office for ballots. Inside the building there are approximately 15 individual stalls where people can come in and complete their ballot. Kamari stated that many people are coming in to complete thei...r ballot because they believe it to be the most secure way to vote. If a voter goes to one of the precincts in the county they will fill out or bring their ballot and turn it in. A voter gets a provisional ballot only if they have moved or if they are not registered. Voting is taking place for four days. October 31, November 1, 2, and 3rd. The county has over 300 poll workers so they have enough staff. Results will not be posted until after 8:00 P.M. on election night. However, they may start counting the votes the day before although I could not get a definite answer probably because that has not been determined by the Registrar’s office. Election results will be updated periodically after Election Day. Final results are posted after certification up to 28 days post election.
