High winds have the potential to topple power lines and trees creating hazardous driving conditions. Secure any outdoor property like outdoor shade structures and umbrellas.

Elevated Fire Weather Concerns Late in the Weekend [Español abajo] Fire Weather Concerns expected to effect our community with strong offshore winds expected Sunday evening through Monday morning. Strongest winds and driest conditions will be at higher elevations. Winds will be onshore on Sunday morning and afternoon, helping to add some moisture to the area, but will quickly dry out Sunday evening. Due to the lack of precipitation around the area, fuels have reached recor...d dry levels, elevating fire concerns. Strongest wind gusts are projected to be in the overnight hours of Sunday evening and into early Monday morning. Winds out of the North will increase with a few stronger gusts in the Valleys as well, but are not expected to be as severe as in the Mountains at this time. Blood transfusions are one of the most common medical procedures among all age groups. In fact, according to the national organization of America’s Blood Centers, one in seven hospital patients receive a blood transfusion! Wednesday, November 4th Charlie’s Restaurant is hosting a community blood drive. Charlie’s is located at the Windsor Golf Club at 1320 19th Hole Drive in Windsor.

The NWS has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Northeastern Sonoma County Mountains (above 1,000 ft) starting on Wed, 10/21 at 10pm through 8am, Fri, 10/23.
