Summer is certainly here and campus is in full bloom!

Happy last official day of school to the SCDS Class of 2020! Tomorrow we will be holding a virtual graduation to honor and celebrate all of your achievements. We are so proud of your hard work, dedication, and resiliency you have all displayed during your educational careers at Sonoma Country Day School. Congratulations!

On behalf of Leadership, Faculty, and Staff at SCDS, we want to send a huge thank you to all first responders and essential workers. We see you, we admire you, and we appreciate you.

Our sixth grade humanities teacher, Nate Eaton, put together this brilliant video about a teacher's journey during distance learning. Watch as he navigates teaching his humanities and theater classes from his kitchen table. Enjoy!

Our Maker Associate, Sean Marshall, has been hard at work utilizing our tools in the maker space to create face shields and ear savers. Dozens have been donated to local hospitals and places where protective gear is needed most. Thank you, Mr. Marshall!

We are so proud of our alumni, Blake Miremont ‘99, for being such an innovator and mass producing essential items to support and protect people during this pandemic. He has refigured his factory to create items such as sneeze guards and hospital trays which are in such high demand. Thank you, Blake, and everyone else who is contributing in such impactful ways during this time. Beginning this week, we have opened our black top to the Redwood Empire Food Bank so they can operate an emergency staging center to produce boxed care packages for thousands of local Sonoma County residents in need. Today there are 1,440 boxes prepped and ready to go! If you are healthy and interested in volunteering, please visit their website at refb.org to sign up.

This week we all came together (via technology) to each share one word that we wish the future.
