Challenge for today Psalms 146 We all know that we are living through a very difficult time, but we have to remember that God is still in control and that He is still King, and we are still His subjects.... Verses 1 through 5 of this Psalm are an exhortation to sing a new song and rejoice (gwul) in our King. Verses 6 through 9 are an exhortation to execute vengeance among the nations, by exalting God with our throats and holding the Word of God in our hands. The word exalt in verse 6 is equivalent to an exaltation that, according to the dictionary, means the praise of a person or thing in which its qualities or merits are highly emphasized; the attribution of greatness, honor or great value to a person or thing." This type of exaltation towards God is more than praise, and it should always be in our mouths, accompanied by the Word of God in our hands, especially in these difficult times that we are living today. Let us always remember that we were created solely and exclusively for God. Psalms 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand. High Praises - rôwmmâh, H7319; exaltation, i.e. praise:high. Perhaps the Hebrew word rendered "high praises" - rômemâh - may imply more than mere praise. Desafío para hoy Salmos 149 Todos sabemos que estamos viviendo un tiempo muy difícil, pero tenemos que recordar que Dios sigue estando en control y que Él sigue siendo Rey, y nosotros seguimos siendo sus súbditos.... Los versículos del 1 al 5 de esta Salmo son una exhortación a cantar un cántico nuevo y gozarnos (gwul) en nuestro Rey. Los versículos del 6 al 9 son una exhortación a ejecutar venganza entre las naciones, exaltando a Dios con nuestras gargantas y manteniendo la Palabra de Dios en nuestras manos. La palabra exalten en el versículo 6 equivale a un ensalzamiento que, según el diccionario, significa la alabanza de una persona o cosa en la que se resaltan mucho sus cualidades o méritos; la atribución de grandeza, honor o gran valor de una persona o cosa. Este tipo de exaltación hacia Dios, es mas que una alabanza, y debe estar siempre en nuestras bocas, acompañada de la Palabra de Dios en nuestras manos, especialmente en estos tiempos difíciles que estamos viviendo hoy. Challenge for today Psalms 146 The author of this Psalm teaches us that we should not trust any human being, but only God. He tells us that we will be blessed when placing our trust in Him. He then describes some of God's many attributes: creator, who keeps truth, executes justice, gives bread, sets captives free, opens eyes, raises up the fallen, loves the righteous, guards the foreigners, supports the orphans and widows. Today we will focus on His power to deliver us.... We can get so used to something that we don't even realize that we are bound to frustration, defeat, failure, laziness, sloth, anguish, worry, fear and so many other prisons that we easily fall into, many times without us realizing it. BUT GOD does justice and sets the captives free! He is the one who breaks every chain, removes all blindness, relieves all pain, and removes all iniquity. Approach Him with the confidence that He will set you free; He will jump, and use violence against the enemy to set you free. With terror He will drive away the enemy and shake off every force of evil to free you from that prison. Let the Lord deliver you from that deep affliction today! Psalms 146:7 The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners. Freedom - nâthar, H5425; to jump, i.e. be violently agitated; causatively, to terrify, shake off, untie:drive asunder, leap, (let) loose, make, move, undo.

Desafío para hoy Salmos 146 El autor de este Salmo nos enseña que no debemos confiar en ningún ser humano, sino solo en Dios. Nos dice que seremos bienaventurados al poner nuestra confianza en Él. Luego nos describe algunos de los muchos atributos de Dios: creador, quien guarda verdad, hace justicia, da pan, liberta a los cautivos, abre los ojos, levanta a los caídos, ama a los justos, guarda a los extranjeros, sostiene a los huérfanos y a las viudas. Hoy nos concentraremos e...n Su poder para librarnos. Nos podemos acostumbrar tanto a algo que ni siquiera nos damos cuenta que estamos atados a la frustración, la derrota, el fracaso, la pereza, la flojera, la angustia, la preocupación, el miedo y tantas otras prisiones en que fácilmente caemos, muchas veces sin darnos cuenta. PERO DIOS hace justicia y liberta a los cautivos! Él es el que rompe toda cadena, remueve toda ceguera, alivia todo dolor y remueve toda iniquidad. Acerbate a Él con la confianza de que Él te libertará; brincará y usará violencia en contra del enemigo para liberarte. Con terror ahuyentará al enemigo y sacudirá toda fuerza del mal para librarte de esa prison. ¡Deja que el Señor te liberte de esa aflicción profunda hoy! Salmos 146:7 Jehová liberta a los cautivos. Challenge for today Psalms 114 Israel's exit from Egypt was a miracle in itself. Only those who lived through it were able to experience the power and majesty of God in a powerful way!... As we read today's Psalm, we see the majesty of our God in the journey of the people of Israel. So great is the majesty of God that all creation reacts to His Presence. Among other things, Israel saw: The sea split (fled) in two The Jordan River split (turned back) The mountains move (jumped) The hills also move (jumped) The rock become a pool of water The rocks become a source of water The effect of God's Presence on creation should cause us to reflect on our own reaction to that Presence. Over and over again we see creation react to God, but we also see that the people of Israel did not react in the same way, but constantly rebelled and did the opposite of what God wanted. If the entire creation trembles before the Presence of God, it would only be correct that humans would react in the same way, since He is God above everything and everyone. Psalms 114:6 What ailed theeYe mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? Skipped - râqad, H7540; properly, to stamp, i.e. to spring about (wildly or for joy):dance, jump, leap, skip.

Desafío para hoy Salmos 114 El éxodo de Israel de Egipto fue un milagro en si. ¡Solo los que lo vivieron pudieron experimentar el poder y la majestad de Dios de una manera poderosa!... Al leer el Salmo de hoy nos damos cuenta de la majestuosidad de nuestro Dios en la trayectoria del caminar del pueblo de Israel. Tan grande es la majestuosidad de Dios que toda la creación reacciona ante Su Presencia. Entre otras cosas, Israel vio: El mar partirse (huyó) en dos El rio Jordán dividirse (volvió atrás) Los montes moverse (saltaron) Los collados también moverse (saltaron) La peña convertirse en estanque de agua Las rocas convertirse en fuente de agua El efecto de la Presencia de Dios en la creación debe hacer que reflexionemos en nuestra propia reacción ante esa Presencia. Una y otra vez vemos a la creación reaccionar ante Dios, pero igual vemos que el pueblo de Israel no reaccionaba de igual forma, sino que constantemente se rebelaba y hacia lo contrario a lo que Dios deseaba. Si la creación entera tiembla ante la Presencia de Dios, seria correcto que los humanos reaccionaremos de la misma manera, pues Él es Dios sobre todo y todos. Salmos 114:6 Oh montes, ¿por qué saltasteis como carneros, y vosotros, collados, como corderitos? Saltasteis - râqad, H7540; apropiadamente, patear, es decir, saltar (salvajemente o de alegría): - danzar, saltar, brincar, caminar dando saltos.

Challenge for today Psalms 100 What attitude do you have when you go to the sanctuary?... Do you walk through the doors of the sanctuary with thanksgiving, or do you only remember to give thanks one day a year? Do you approach the Lord with heartfelt gratitude for what He is for you, or do you approach with complaint in your heart? Thanksgiving means that in everything you will find something to be thankful for to the Lord, even when you are going through difficult times. Notice that verse 4 of this Psalm commands us to enter through the doors of the sanctuary with thanksgiving. The Hebrew word that is used implies that the thanksgiving with which we must cross through the doors, is expressed with the raising of the arms. In other words "Enter the sanctuary with your heart full of gratitude and your arms raised high." Is this how you enter the sanctuary? Psalms 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving. Thanksgiving - tôwdâh, H8426; properly, an extension of the hand, i.e. (by implication) avowal, or (usually) adoration; specifically, a choir of worshippers:confession, (sacrifice of) praise, thanks(-giving, offering).

Desafío para hoy Salmos 100 ¿Qué actitud tienes cuando vas al santuario? ... ¿Entras por las puertas del santuario con acción de gracias, o solo recuerdas dar gracias un día al año? ¿Te acercas al Señor con agradecimiento de corazón por lo que Él es para ti, o te acerca con queja en tu corazón? Acción de gracias significa que en todo encontrarás algo por lo cual estar agradecido al Señor, aún cuando estés pasando por momentos difíciles. Observa bien que el versículo 4 de este Salmo nos ordena entrar por las puertas del santuario con acción de gracias. La palabra hebrea que se usa da a entender que esa acción de gracias con la cual debemos atravesar las puertas, es expresada con el levantar de los brazos. En otras palabras Entra al santuario con tu corazón lleno de agradecimiento y tus brazos levantados en alto. ¿Es así como tu entras al santuario? Salmos 100:4 Entrad por sus puertas con acción de gracias. Action de gracias - tôwdâh, H8426; propiamente, una extensión de la mano, es decir (por implicación) declaración, o (usualmente) adoración; específicamente, un coro de adoradores: confesión, (sacrificio de) alabanza, acción de gracias (ofrenda).

Challenge for today Psalms 96 A new song is a song that you have never heard or sung before, that flows from your grateful heart to God.... Many of the songs that we use today to worship God motivate us to become intimate with Him. The interesting thing is that, at the end of the song, we stop, thinking that the song is over. A new song is what follows after singing a familiar song. They are words of deep intimacy or elevated adoration that come out of your mouth towards God. Marco Barrientos taught it this way in one of the Worship Congresses: Our singing is similar to a faucet where water comes out. While you are singing, that water comes out because the handle is in the open position. You have control of the handle. Once the song is finished, many turn the water off and it no longer comes out. The new song must continue to flow after the familiar song, in other words, the water tap must remain open. " As in everything, some find it easy to continue with the new song, but others find it difficult. We can develop the new song in us with practice, until it becomes natural or normal. God wants to hear our own words as much as those of other people who have the gift of composing songs. He wants to hear your heart through your new song. Don't close the faucet, keep it open. Psalms 96:1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Song - shîyr, H7892 ; a song; abstractly, singing:musical(-ick), sing(-er, -ing), song.

Desafío para hoy Salmos 96 Un cántico nuevo es un canto que nunca antes has escuchado, o cantado, que sale de tu corazón agradecido hacia Dios.... Muchos de los cantos que hoy usamos para adorar a Dios, nos motivan a una intimidad con Él. Lo interesante es que, al terminar el canto, nos detenemos, pensando que el canto ha terminado. El cántico nuevo es lo que sigue después de cantar un canto conocido. Son las palabras de profunda intimidad o excelsa adoración que salen de tu boca hacia Dios. Marco Barrientos lo enseño de esta manera en uno de los Congresos de Adoración: Nuestro cantar es semejante a un grifo donde sale agua. Mientras estas cantando, esa agua sale porque la llave esta abierta. Tu tienes el control de esa llave. Una vez que se termina el canto, muchos cierran la llave del agua y ésta ya no sale. El cántico nuevo debe seguir saliendo después del canto conocido, o sea, la llave del agua debe permanecer abierta. Como en todo, a algunos se les hace fácil continuar con el cántico nuevo, pero a otros nos cuesta. El cántico nuevo puede desarrollarse en nosotros con la practica, hasta que se vuelva natural o normal. Dios desea escuchar nuestras palabras propias tanto como las de otras personas que tienen el talento de componer cantos. Él desea escuchar tu corazón a través de tu cántico nuevo. No cierres la llave, mantenla abierta. Salmos 96:1 Cantad a Jehová cántico nuevo; cantad a Jehová toda la tierra.
