- Counsel clients individually and in a group setting - Conduct program orientation - Develop client treatment plans - Intervene as advocate for clients in order to resolve urgent problems in crisis situations. - Provide clients &/or family members with information about addiction issues and about available services and programs, making appropriate referrals when necessary.... - Coordinate activities with courts, probation officers, community services and other post-treatment agencies. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of one (1) year substance abuse treatment experience - A valid license, certification or registration recognized by DHCS. - If recovering from chemical dependency, a minimum of 2 years sobriety is required
