Dear Valued Patients, We are excited to announce that after eight weeks of urgent care only, we are once again open for regular eye care needs! As a medical eye clinic, infection control has always been a part of what we do but you’ll see some additional measures in place to protect the health and safety of all of our patients and staff. These include:... We will be asking a set of screening questions when we communicate with you prior to your visit and will ask them again when you enter the clinic on your appointment day. We are scheduling only one patient/family group at a time. This will help us maintain proper sanitation of the office but could mean there are fewer options available to schedule your appointment. We ask that patients stay in their car and call the office (951-301-3626) when you arrive to ensure the previous patients have left and the office is sanitized prior to your entering. We ask that additional family members who do not have an appointment stay at home or in the car, if able, unless they are a child or need a caretaker in which case we ask only one family member/guardian accompany them. We ask that you wear a mask as a courtesy to our staff due to the close working conditions of eye exams and glasses fittings (sometimes as close as 8 inches). If you do not have a mask we will provide one to you. All of our staff will be wearing masks as well. Your temperature will be measured upon entering the office and recorded in your records. All staff will be screened for signs and symptoms of illness prior to the beginning of work each day. Please allow a staff member to assist you when trying on frames to help maintain sanitation of frames. All frames that are tried on will be thoroughly cleaned between each patient. Magazines, toys, and the coffee station have been removed from the reception area for now as these items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Our office is closed to non-emergent eye health matters until further notice to help slow the spread of the virus. We ARE OPEN for ocular emergencies, including: Redness, Swelling, Vision Loss, Pain, Light Sensitivity, Flashes & Floaters, and others. ... If you have one of these or similar, please call 951-301-3626 and follow the instructions, or email at [email protected]. The need for in-person examination will be made on a case-by-case basis. We can also order contact lenses and ship them directly to you home during this time. Please contact us by the above methods and we will get back to you. Dear Solace Optometry Community, We have made the difficult decision to cease all routine appointments starting Thursday, March 19, through the end of the month to comply with recent guidelines from the CDC, the California Optometric Association, and the Riverside County Health Department regarding the COVID-19 virus. At this time we plan to re-open for normal operations April 1, although this may be subject to change. Dr. Krewer will be in the office on a limited basis and o...n call during this time to see ocular emergencies or urgent visits for needed eyewear. We are able to order replacement contact lenses and ship them directly to your home, if needed.
